I had taken him 2 years ago, and I can say out of all the teachers that I took he was one of the most brutal graders ever... You get questions related to speech but they are mostly opinionated, and if you don't answer it the way he wants it you won't really get a good grade. I passed with a C, but this is my only class out of 15 classes I got a C.

Class is easy - you don't even have to attend except on the days you give your speech, but I recommend doing so anyway because he teaches so much more than speech - we talked about the psychological aspects of speech-giving, etc. Very interesting class. This guy does motivational speaking, he knows what he's talking about. Loved this class.

I took his honors class. He grades hard but according to his guidlines, so DEF read his PPTs he puts up. He tells you everything he expects for each assignment so use his docs on the website. Attendance isnt mandatory but youd be smart to go. He's a really nice guy and always willing to help with anything. I would def recommend him & take him again

While I did not finish Snider's class due to work interference, he was without a doubt straightforward and fair in his grading during the time frame I was there. I am taking him again this fall because I enjoyed his teaching style that much. I would most certainly recommend him!

Could not understand professors writting but he was willing to talk to you after class. Also asking if we needed help. Graded harshly and always answered emails. Did not use the book but he kept the class interesting. He also gave you second chances to do work. The final was a speech. It was an easy subject. Great teacher! I would take him again.

this teacher was not good! he is not clear on anything, and dosent give feed back. he told me that i was doing good in his class, and i later found out that i got a D. and now i have to retake it. i have never had to retake a class before, so i am upset! dont take him!!!!!!!

This guy seriously never stops talking. He never ends class early either (had him once a week). He saves the speeches for the end of the semester because he believes you should be taught how to make a good speech first (I agree). Grading on the speeches are alright, but I never made anything higher than a D on his papers (I get A's in english too).

I took his honors speech class. He's a fun professor. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you'll want to be there to keep up with the course material. Buying the book is next to pointless. Be ABSOLUTELY sure that you spend time and follow all instructions when doing the "reaction papers", they're graded quite hard.

60% of almost all his talk for almost all class meetings is about his life and irrelevant topics. In my opinion he does this to kill time. When it's test time the most of the q's on the test are things he never mentioned or told us to study.

Funny stories..but frustrating sometimes because class could be so much shorter or you could get so much more informatin done. whenevre i leave class early, i walk in the room the next day with the same powerpoint up so i basically missed..nothing...don't buy the book either... you never use it...he's a nice guy though.

You people need to grow up. He requires 4 reaction papers, 4 speeches, that is all. If you take notes, papers are easy, be thorough! Don't half-ass! Leaves book on desk with office hours, always available when needed. I am a slow learner and I recieved an A. Take the class, pay attention, you will be a better speaker!

Very interesting. It was hard to stay awake during his lectures, which included stories about dogs, car accidents, his college days, and political ideas. He once talked for 45 minutes about his kids going to the circus and riding the ferris wheel. Just do the speeches and papers and you'll get an A.
