Comment:

I HATE math, and I had to take this as part of my degree plan. The class was very difficult for me but thats because Im terrible at Math. I liked that the grading criteria was so clear. I knew what to do each week. As long as you do the homework and study, you can pass. I managed to get a B despite being super bad at Math. FYI I took the 8wk course

Comment:

Took Online all Homeworks are on Cengage about 36 roughly, 4 written assignments, and 2 Tests on Blackboard. He is a little slow when it comes to replying back to your emails. Otherwise stay on top of all your work don't be lazy and procrastinate. Cengage itself has example videos for Homework help. There should be NO REASON to get less than an A.

Comment:

Taking him through is online course is probably one of the worst decisions I've ever made. He turns a 5 day per week class into a 3-15 minute video of textbook definitions, lip smacking, and bungled words. His examples are, "Here is the question, and here is the final answer. That should be enough to get you into the textbook!" Avoid at all costs.

I took him for online calc. and will be again for calc 2. There's normally about 3 homework assignments a week on webassign, 4 written assignments total, show all your work, and a couple of tests on webassign as well. His online lectures can be a little hard to focus on, but webassign helps a lot if there's any confusion. Overall good guy.

I took cal 1 & 2 online from him. He was a great professor and was always available if I needed help. 1-2 homework assignments due per week. 3 tests. Homework and tests are on webassign. I found webassign very helpful because it shows you how to work out the problems!

Dr. Daniel is always willing to help students. Super humble guy and has a great deal of southern hospitality type character. He explains the material very well when lecturing. Dr. Daniel uses the Moore method so if you show up to class and present problems you should be fine.

class was horrible. disliked his teaching methods. Yes true the course is hard in general, but he's no help esp if you dont understand. He alwasys says "Honesty is policy I dont Know" or "I dont know the answer haven't worked out yet". In my case he "never understood my (?'s)"..always looked out window when i asked a question; he didnt listen!

A hard teacher, doesnt give makeup's for quizzes, what you make is what you make, I was going to tutor in the math lab and STARS, still failed (which he saw). I went to him repeatedly but there is no opportunity if you dont study. After failing 3rd exam,dropped 2 days before finals thinking I can make it, now, no financial aid, pay out of pocket.

If you had trouble in Cal 1... Stay away... You will fail. We started out with 40 students. Ended with 15... Im sure only about 5 passed.

Took him for Cal 1 and squeezed by with a C then took him again in Cal 2 and failed. Granted, I didn't put in much of an effort to do the homework (which is not graded) but I feel I would have had a better chance of passing if he gave more chances to improve your grade.

Best math teacher EVER!! Never leaves anyone in the dark and is very easy to talk to if you are having problems. Will help you in anyway he can to make sure you understand math. I hated math until his class, now I actually get it. Took him twice!
