Hard to believe this professor actually has great reviews. Absolutely awful. So much interesting in the book that he requires us to buy/rent and all he does is talk about his experiences in Englewood. 3 hour of class wasted of his personal experiences in specific neighborhoods. Waste of money and time.

Comment:

Dr. Wilson was unexpectedly the best professor I have ever had. He is the whole package; experienced, well-read, empathetic, and jovial. Take him, and learn from him, not just the textbook. Dr. Wilson is not only your greatest advocate, he is the greatest learning tool you could ever hope for.

If you are lazy, avoid taking him. You cannot be lazy and expect an A or even a B from him. He truly cares about our education. You have to work for a good grade. I have taken him 2 times so far and will be taking him again!

Be prepared to study because each test is 25 short answer questions. He does give out study guides but after the first exam be prepared to memorize 50 questions. There are no extra credit opportunities or other class work though. If you don't study you will not pass. Book is a must!

Yes makes the class interesting, is well respected, and has the highest level of teaching ethics than any other professors I had in my entire college career. He is fair on grading, lectures are easy, and he gives you a directional guide to study for his exams. How hard is it?

Finished the Ethics class and I learned a lot! Dr. Wilson is a true professional who wants you to learn and get something out of his class. We had three major exams all were short essay written in blue books. The exams were not difficult, if you study we were told up front exactly what to study. No surprises here take his class and learn!

This man will intentionally scare you the first class. He will yell all the time. He has three test's worth 25% each. The tests are essays roughly 20 questions for the first and then he adds more for each test. He is rude and wasn't available to help. No extra credit. No participation points. Lots of reading before class no outside help. Avoid!!!!

He is awesome teacher!! Each class he will tell you to highlighted in the book & those things will be testable! Everything what you writing in your textbook will be on the test! I learned a lot from his class "Theory of criminal deviance"

Wilson is a fantastic teacher. If someone doesn't like them, its usually because they're lazy/ very slow. Do the work he assigns and study, you'll get an A. That simple.

I had Wilson for two or three classes (can't remember exactly), but for whatever reason, I couldn't get an A in this guy's class for the life of me. He always gave me a mid to high B on the tests. It was quite frustrating considering that I was the smartest kid in those classes. Never understood that.

He is good peopl Dr. Wilson and has a big heart. He will make you laugh at the same time he can be a character and serious but most of all he's a loving guy that wants peace and even more friendly in person. I thank him for his service in the military, teaching and as a person.

Dr. Wilson is awesome. He's knowledgeable about the field and he makes sure that you understand the field. Tests are all essay but he prepares you for them. If you study, will pass. You will leave his class with knowledge of C.J. Don't get intimidated at the beginning, it gets better. I almost dropped but hung in there and got an "A" in the class.

Great teacher. Dr. Wilson made me a better person. He is a good man, and great teacher. We can all learn a great deal from him. Remember: Standards, Ethics, Character, and professionalism - LOL we all heard that a lot. But it is a good set to live by.

Dr. Wilson is good a professor and very conservative. He doesn't tolerate liberal b.s. in favoring people. Wilson gets to business and professional respects practioners to learn. He will not tolerate hypocritical people and is not bias. He's way more fair than Jacobson and doesn't stab people in the back.

This was my first time, last time, and only time that I have taken Dr. Wilson. He reapeats the stuff over and over again, it can put you to sleep. Sometimes viewed by others as a comdeian, he's nice guy and great advisor.

Good teacher last year...now uses book and essay tests are 20 questions instead of 10. Thinks everything is a conspiracy. Kinda loopy but fun to take if nothin else is available. Had a couple classes but had to stop because it got annoying hearing everything over...and over...and over...no matter what class says everything over..and over

Professor Wilson is an excellent teacher. I enjoyed all his classes immensely, and would recommend him to anyone. If you show up on time to every class and take good notes your sure to get and A. He always kept me interested in everything he taught; and there was never a boring moment in class.
