I took Psych 114 online in Spring of 2011. I was taking an online test when it said "Blackboard Unexpectedly needs to close". This caused me to be locked out of the test.She said she would check with blackboard and I could finish my test. She never got back to me and when I emailed her, she said no one else in the class had the problem and too bad.

Comment:

Do not take her online class. She is rude when replying to emails and will not go out of her to help you when you need it. Her online class is hard to navigate and she will not post due dates or reminders for assignments. You will really have to pay attention to make sure you do not overlook a due date.

Sutow is a terrible, disorganized professor. I took her online course. The course is still definitely an easy A. However, her questions are poorly worded and vague. I wonder how she was even able to earn a degree. She is a lazy, unfair professor. She should be fired.

Great teacher, she even sounds like a psychologist. Teaches you how to study the right way. Makes you work for your grade, but you learn plenty. Reading the book and studying always vital. Overall I always enjoy her classes. If you deserve an A you'll get it.

This class is easy if you read the text. A lot of test questions are merely based off bold-faced words and vocab. I took the online course; don't go over time limit on exams--I did that once by about a minute and she accused me of showing "suspicious behavior," which was kind of stupid, but the class is still pretty easy if you study nonetheless.

Very very very interesting teacher. i got an A in class and did study alot. must read text book in order to get an A. however, she is very clear with her lectures. she covers the majority of it and makes it fun to learn

Sutow is a great teacher Very good at making subject matter interesting and easy to learn. I recommend attending all classes. Group assignments are easy. No homework assigned, but it is important to read when she tells you too. Tests could be difficult but if you read and use the study guide she gives, u should have no problem getting through them.

lectures are fun and interactive. she makes the subject fun. but if you want to pass the tests you need to read. and study. i read every chapter and studied before every test and got almost 100% each test. only 4 exams. she has group exercises but they are simple. make sure to attend class and you will do fine. but you do have to study a lot.

This class is mind numbing. If you like Psychology you do fine. You must read and understand it well otherwise you end up like me a little lost. I liked the class but I thought is a bit hard but i go lazy. So don't get lazy or your fall behind.

I loved her class & felt very comfortable participating. She is straight forward & entertaining. The tests are easy if you study and review the notes. She allows everyone enough time to write down the notes from the slides. She gives good life advice too about relationships & on studying techniques. She's good!

Comment:

Ms. Sutow is what I call the model professor. She is a professional in the study of Abnormal psychology. Her helpfulness is beyond just answering questions, but will go as deep into a subject as you want. She is well liked and respected by her colleagues. She treats her students with high regards. Take this class and enjoy!
