She is an extremely subjective grader who openly admits you will need to work extremely hard, she said she treats it like its your only class. She gives a ton of assignments and grades very hard. She stands by that C's are the average.

You will learn how to empathize with your employees by giving them ice cream. You will also be graded on a completely subjective grade scale. Just read around. I have a feeling she doesn't teach anymore. Maybe someone realized it just wasn't her thing. Total fake too. Will act nice in class but will not help you at all when needed the most. Avoid!!

The class is pretty difficult. You must read and fully understand the material. She cold calls on people when she wants an answer to something and you feel really dumb when you don't know it. There is a lot of papers to write and like 4 of them are group reports. She is very knowledgeable though and you will learn A LOT in this class.

HMD 103 WAS THE HARDEST CLASS I TOOK THIS SEMESTER. She is so worried that everyone was going to cheat that no one could learn. If you take the class. READ THE TEXT BOOK CLEARLY. She tries to trick you instead of teach you. The class was so bad when everyone was failing she gave out extra-credit to students who would show up to a mandatory class!!

Cheri is very helpful but does treat her class like they are children. She waits till everyone is off their phone to continue speaking, she has you write down if you're tardy one minute after class has begun. She allows no laptop use. And asks questions in a difficult manner. Weekly quizzes and clicker questions which are difficult. Terrible.DoNot!

Cheri, ahhhh what can i really say?! She has a ton of knowledge in the subject she is teaching, in fact I learned a ton in this class. It was really frustrating that I put so much effort into her class just to get a C-. I went to Cheri during office hours a number of times just to review. I also met with her T.A.'s and went to her review sections.

SO HARD and it is all her fault!! You will bust your ass in this class for mediocre grades. So much work and she fills the million tests you have with trick questions. I honestly believe she wants you to fail. This class seems like a 400 level even though it's a 100 level. She is awful and treats you like you are stupid. NOT an easy A!!

She treats you like children. Stops talking until everyone is off their phone, yet never kicks people out of class! Goes off on tangents and then doesn't have time to discuss all the material which will be on test. Read the text, because she always doesn't explain the best in class.

Dr. Young definitely knows alot, but is not friendly to most of her students, she teaches HMD 103 like a UpperDiv hotel class instead of an intro style. Tough quizzes, but passable if you study really hard. Overall, good professor, but is teaching wrong course.

She is Kind and funny,but really hard to study.I don't understand why she didn't show the answer of quiz,,,, I want to know what correct answer !!! :( If I can't to see it how I understand the subjects,,,I do not understand why guest speaker's presentation on the quiz,, I don't like it,,, I-clicker is not helpful for extra credit. find another pro.

She is a great professor if you get to know her. Her class is hard to be a 100 level class i admit. but just put a lot of effort to it and visit her office hours and she WILL help you. But if you're looking for an easy 'A' class, you should not take her class.

Prof. Young definitely toned down the workload, but treated us like children. She still does group assignments, which are pointless. Lectures make attendance and note-taking necessary. She did bring in several good guest speakers. The online quizzes and tests make for an easy A.

Group projects assigned that are abosolutely stupid. Test questions chosen from database and so difficult to get anything higher than a C. She is a PhD teaching a 100 level like it is a 400 level, doesn't comprehend why the entire class was failing and didnt pass her quizzes.

Absolutely terrible! I received a C- after the worst classroom experience i have ever had at any school. Prepare to spend hours reading from one of the 20 books she requires you to buy. She is unreasonable and evil. Class participation is mandatory and she will fail u if u don't. Avoid at all costs!!! Good luck to those who try.
