Unclear, jumbled lecture style and the material he confuses you with during lectures rarely even shows up on exams. You're better off reading the textbook closely and reviewing the chapters before tests. He also comes off as arrogant and judgmental as person, making him unapproachable. Steer clear!

At first, he seems boring, his reputation is low. However, he has great curve and works with 15 point scale. Has high expectation for students. So if you are willing to work, you will get the grades! He tries hard! He knows he's not one of the hot professors.

He is a great professor. If you are looking for an "easy" class though, this is not the professor for you. He makes you apply all the material you learn. He really helps you think outside the box and think of multiple causes/reasons for phenomenon. Not picky. Lax attendance policy although this is one of the only classes I hate missing.

Dr. Wetzel is hilarious. He constantly keeps you entertained with edgy jokes that are just a little over the edge; shedding a little light on the dark corners of research methods is nice for a 9am. Study the notes he hands out, outline the chapters and you're fine for his tests.

He is a sweet man although he is very picky with grading. His lectures are not particularly interesting and unclear but he really tries. He is very nice and knows everyone's name. Psych 200 is hard. But the exams rely mostly on the book.

My favorite professor at Rhodes by far. He is so smart that he can't always explain things clearly, but if you make the effort to really think about the material, class is always fascinating. Actually makes me want to learn. And catches all my BS on exams, unfortunately. I wish I had started taking his classes earlier. Has high expectations.

there appear to be some mixed feelings about this wetzel character. well, this is how it is, people. he's a good guy and he really knows his psych - he just has some trouble explaining it. class is boring and it's hard to make sense of anything. without his HUGE curve, everyone would fail. but it's not impossible to do well. overall, i like the guy

Terrible professor. Worst I've had at Rhodes. Will not answer questions. Belittles you if you ask. Sporadic grader -no rhyme or reason for grades. Only take him if you absolutely must.

While Professor Wetzel's bark is bigger than his bite, he can be a rather difficult teacher. He is rarely available during his office hours. He is also very bad about getting things graded in a timely fashion, and gave us an exam the day after spring break. Needless to say, no one did exceptionally well.

He is incredibly helpful and patient! By far the most willing professor to work with students that I have had. He's really goofy and will always give you something to laugh at. He's a little impersonal, but he gets the job of teaching done, and does it well.

I never had him for 200, but I can imagine what it's like. He expects students to think, A LOT...but I guess that's what we're here for! So, in that respect, he's hard, but if you learn to love the quirks, class can be fun. Social is a great class.

It takes a course or two before you realize that though he's a bit geeky, he's amusing and very kind. Always willing to help, and in class, applies what you're learning to real life. Uses the Internet more than most Rhodes profs. One of my favorite profs!
