Very liberal and political, but I gotta say, she is an absolutely fantastic professor (coming from a centrist/conservative). She puts a lot of time in to give you substantial feedback, and her class is very intellectually stimulating. I had the pleasure of having her for honors, she knows what she's doing!

Professor Berger is such a sweet and great prof. She really cares about her students and is very understanding. The work load is mostly papers and the final research paper is a lot of work. She's a little hard at hearing but she really is one of the best profs.

Professor Berger is definitely a gem. I cant tell you how much she has inspired me to be a better writer. Her passion for teaching and care for each student makes her one of the best professors Ive ever had. Makes students feel accepted and involved, and gives wonderful and timely feedback on all of the assignments. I wish I could take her again.

Professor Berger is a very sweet woman. Her course has a heavy political undertone which I found inappropriate for an English course but I don't blame her. I blame the CCC English department. She is a great professor who is very knowledgeable in literature and can truly help students to become better writers. Liberal or not, she's a great professor

My favorite professor at CCC. She is a gem!! I loved her classes, they felt adventurous and so exciting. The classics were great and she sure does have a passion for them. She's so engaging and a pleasure to learn from. I would take every class she taught if I could. I moved my schedule around to take the course, I wouldn't change a thing!

Very great professor! There is a lot of reading and writing to the class, but she's always ready to help. Gives feedback on any essay or test, and really does want to make sure her students understand the material. She even lets you rewrite essays if you did poorly on them!

Great teacher, take her for Honors English if you have the chance. Though you should expect a decent amount of reading (mainly short stories and a book or 2 throughout the semester). You should expect a 10-20 page research paper at the end of the semester (really not that hard double spaced lol). Great teacher.

Great professor! Take her if you have the chance. She is very passionate about her work and her students. She is a tough grader but gives good feedback on essays and gave us the opportunity to hand in rewrites on our essays. Overall awesome professor!

Professor Berger's class offered a huge challenge along with stimulating and engaging discussions. I felt I was in an actual classroom rather than just online. She gave great feedback for future papers. If you want the classroom experience but are unable to go to class offline then take her class but prepare to work hard to earn an A.

Class started out well enough she was helpful and kind, but I missed a few forum posts when my schedule got hectic (I was taking chem, physics and bio at the time) and she completely turned against me. She refused to help me and any feedback she gave me was just plain criticism. If you do take her get on her good side and work hard to stay there.

I took her online class and it was the worst mistake I made. I am in the CCC honors program and she failed me! I have never earned below a B in a class, and I failed hers. She told me that I did not interpret the readings the way the author wanted us to. She also told me that, "I obviously do not follow directions and I do not know how to read."

Kind professor, can be very eccentric. Gives constructive criticism and allows you to re-write essays for a better grade after she reviews them. Has students practice public speaking in class often.

Lets just say I rearranged my entire schedule to take Professor Berger. I absolutely loved her classes. If your not willing to put in some work, then I would suggest dropping her class. If your willing to stick it out, you will be well-prepared to move to a 4-year school. She will also keep you interested every step of the way!

Hands down the best professor I have ever had. Legitimately cares about English and is extremely smart with it. Very affable and open to any questions you may have. I actually enjoyed writing a 10-page research paper for her. Could not recommend her more.
