Syphers is amazing! Physics is a really hard subject at Bowdoin, but if you attend his office hours, or go to his office whenever you have time, he is always available. He really wants his students to understand the subject and does everything in his power to help

Syphers can be pretty condescending (in a kind of joking way) and scattered sometimes, but he's really nice and amazingly helpful and patient in office hours. He'll really put a lot of effort into helping you through problems.

Prof. Syphers is great! He is enthusiastic about the material and puts his heart into teaching the class. He is a self proclaimed physics dork, but is enjoyable to have teach. If you don't read, you will be lost, but if you read he will get you through it. Pretty easy graded.
