Comment:
Professor Brennan took a topic that I was really interested in and ruined it. His class lectures and the tests do not line up at all. We are supposed to read an assigned book chapter before each class, but the lectures are about something completely different. The tests are completely from the book, which WE NEVER TALKED ABOUT. Terrible professor

cold calls a lot. participation is 15% of your grade. tests are multiple choice, but are pretty difficult. He doesn't really teach, he just kind of reads off of powerpoints and goes through things way too fast to understand. You basically have to read the book and teach yourself to do well. i get nothing out of the lectures.

Avoid unless you enjoy reading 18 chapters of a textbook word for word. 60% of your grade is based on 4 75-question multiple choice exams. If you didn't read that exact sentence of the textbook, you'll get the question wrong. Every class is a very dry powerpoint lecture. Had about 4 guest speakers which are the only classes I enjoyed.

Avoid taking this class. All lectures and powerpoint slides. Tests are difficult and focus mainly on material from the book, not material covered in class. Two in depth "field trips" and a final project. Cold calls.

He made us take 100 question multiple choice tests, which make no sense for a marketing class. He said it was because he wouldn't have the time to grade a short answer test for all the students in his classes. He's incredibly knowledgable in the field, but doesn't always bring that into the class. Would love to chat with him outside of class though

AVOID. He is a great guy but terrible professor. It is very difficult to get a good grade with his curve. Intelligence alone will not get you a good grade. It is all meaningless memorization from the textbook. I highly suggest avoiding him. TRUST ME. Find an easier marketing professor. Marketing is a joke of a class and it might as well be a free A

Stay away! Cold calls on people all the time and you have to be reading his mind to answer right. 100 mc test that ask the most detailed questions... Boring lecture. Not an enjoyable class

4 tests worth 20% each, 10% attendance, 10% for being a test dummy for 3 marketing studies (which are annoying). Lectures are boring and I didn't learn that much. Never bought the book, just studied his slides. He brings in speakers, most of whom I found very interesting. He uses the words "in terms of" ALL the time, which is kind of funny.

Since my class was small (8) I think he graded differently, but I'm pretty sure he didn't read anything I turned in and just gave me an A. I did well, many people didn't. Grades women better than men. No tests, knows his stuff. Stay on his good side. I got an A- and did little to no work.

extremely hard grader. basically a jerk. do not buy the book - complete waste of money you never even use it. 3 cases, 3 projects. he's super anal over how you make powerpoints and graphs - they're never good enough for him

Horrible prof. Tests are ridiculous, you get no points for an attempt. Class is so boring with movies from the 80s. Never do bookwork, but the tests are straight from the book- his suggestion: learn every definition in entire book. I consider myself a good student but his class is ridiculously hard. DO NOT TAKE UNLESS ABSOLUTELY NO ALTERNATIVE!!!!!

I wouldn't recommend... he's a decent guy but on a huge power trip. He will NEVER give out an A and his tests are near impossible. You pretty much have to memorize the text book because he picks out the most minute points ever. The tests are graded on a curve so my advice is rally together and fail....or don't take him if you want to live happily.

Great Professor! One of the best that I had. Some of the videos are a little out of date in terms of style but the content is still accurate. Very intersting guest speakers. If you participate in class and are detailed oriented on your papers/test you will do well!

Great knowledge, test and field trips suck. His grading system makes no sense. He just kind of "gives you a grade" on papers and essay parts of the test without any explanation. Be prepared to read the entire book if you want to do well. Awesome guest speakers from Best Buy, Target, etc.
