Comment:

Dr. Cross is a nice man. However, this class has been an extremely unorganized class since day 1. We got our scores on the first test 2 months late & he often has a guest speaker come teach the class instead of him teaching. The class itself has a fair grading system (point system) & he gives perfect scores when he doesn't finish grading on time.

A little disorganized (but we had snow days, etc that got in the way) He is a great teacher, but its definitely not an easy A. However if you take notes during his class and read the books assigned it is very possible to make an A on his take home tests. I honestly loved his teaching styleclass and would take again. Learning tai chi was fun too

To call him a "Professor" is a major stretch. If he even shows up to class he doesn't teach at all only the students do. It's confusing and we are half way through the semester and still don't know what we are suppose to be learning. Worst class I've ever taken. Never take a class by Cross he's not a teacher he's awful.

He is a very nice professor that gets his thoughts jumbled. the concepts in the class are interesting/difficult. He doesn't explain them very well and you have to do the majority of learning the material on your own. he isn't very clear. an A is do-able but difficult.

Dr. Cross is one of the most brilliant men of our time. If it has been published, Dr. Cross has read it. Any student would be lucky to get to hear how he makes sense of all of the genius thoughts going through his extremely intelligent brain. Dr. Cross is an expert in his field. His wisdom is endless.

Professor is smart but unorganized and difficult to follow. It is difficult to understand the point he is making in lectures. I felt like I had to teach myself material. Lots of busy work. Prof. out a lot sick, but a nice guy.

I am taking the developmental WEM course with him and he has had class maybe 5 times total throughout the semester (three months, so far). He does not lecture or teach anything from the book, so you have to self-teach everything. You also have to look up some info online as tests are not directly from the book. I have learned nothing from him.

Just a quick message for the people who just signed up for any of his classes: HAHAHAHA you are going to regret it. He is a terrible professor and over the last couple of years he has turned into a mean old man. Don't recommend any of his classes. Tenure was invented so that people like him can't get fired... ridiculous

I took Dr. Cross' Child Psychology class this past semester. The material is interesting, but he never comes to class prepared and seems pretty scatter-brained. He will not help you out AT ALL on your final grade, so make sure you study well for the tests (read the book thoroughly). His exam questions are hard!! Do NOT recommend this class!

I took Dr. Cross for Child Psychology and while I adored the class and Dr. Cross in general, it was a difficult and unorganized class. He never seemed to show up to class knowing what he was going to lecture on for the day and that made it difficult to keep up with him. The tests were difficult but the class is really interesting if you like kids

I thought Dr. Cross was a great professor. He cares about his students and is passionate about what he does. Maybe I will change my mind once I take Developmental? He can be confusing at times because he is SO SMART that he has trouble relaying information.

I heard he had gone on a sabbatical a year or two ago and I have to say that I wish he would go back and leave us alone. I cannot believe this man, how unbelievably antisocial can you get? It's bad enough that he doesn't teach but he seems to be out there to demoralize you when you try... drop it unless you are like me and you don't have a choice..

To simply put it, the other messages below are spot on. He is a worthless person. He isn't a professor, he sits there and crucifies for no good reason. I love Dr. Cross as long as he stays away from me. I took his class because I thought he was a nice guy. He does interrupt during the speeches (he doesn't actually teach the students have speeches everyday throughout the semester) and it gets on everyone's nerves, he is rude and his TA thinks she's out there to prove herself by pooping our papers

Every class I've ever taken from Dr. Cross, I haven't learned a thing. He's a sweet man though, even though he doesn't make sense 1/2 the time. Good luck on the papers, the TA we had graded way too hard. Most of us thought it'd be an easy A but, we ended up with B's b/c of it.

I love this class because the topics are very interesting. Dr. Cross is a very interesting man and he expands on student power points to help understanding. He is a very passionate teacher
