Ok, let me just say that McClellan is different now than what he was back then. Yes his exams may br easy, but you are taking his class at the expense of NOT learning anything. Most of it is reading the book and self studying. If you want an easy A but not learn anything in the end, then by all means taking him, otherwise, seek another professor.

I had Mr. Mclellan for dynamics and thermo. He likes to pick on students, and it is usually funny. Be prepared for many rambling lectures on CO2 pollution. His handwriting is bad, especially when he writes in cursive. There are only 4 grades in the class! You usually only end up using about 10% of all the notes you take. He's practically deaf, too.

He likes to make you think his class is harder than it is. Sit in the front so you can read his (very unclear) handwriting. Lecture is very structured, though doesn't really apply at all to the problems for homework or the exams. Do assigned problems.

If you aren't prepared to work hard, don't take McClellan. He's a great teacher, really knows his stuff. You'll learn everything you need to be successful...but you'll have to do more than just show up to class (don't be late!). He's incredibly fair.
