Powers is by far the worst instructor I've had in college, and I've had some pretty****ty ones, let me tell you. The only thing this man did during class was talk about his views, personal life, and brag about himself. He never went over material that appeared on tests, which explains why a huge curve was needed just for students to pass. Huge ass

AVOID! This man is unprofessional and ridiculously annoying. His lectures are pointless. All he does is talk about himself. Everyone in my lecture hated him. Has nothing better to do then make tests with questions that were NEVER discussed in class.

Theory and practice was the most useless class i have taken at Kent. I attended every class, and worked extremely hard, and still did not learn a thing. I have never felt like I wasted time & money on an education except for this class.

I liked Powers. I was a com major at Kent and to tell the truth, the whole program is kind of a joke. He was one of the only professors that actually made students exert themselves in any way and I think that's why he's catching hell on here.

The lab part of this course is not that difficult but the lecture is completely useless and boring and his midterms are impossible! The average on our sections before a curve was a 60%!Only take this class if necessary!
