Comment:

She was an incredible teacher! So caring towards her students. If she noticed I was struggling with the material, shed stop by my desk and help me understand it. We had homework packets every week, so everything was really clear & organized. No surprise questions on the exams. She treated everyone so kindly and shes incredible at teaching.

Comment:

This professor was super nice and cool. Her efforts in helping you pass the class are very apparent and she's very clear on how you can succeed in this class. She laughs at everything too, which was entertaining. Gives lots of homework but a good chunk of time to finish it, it wasn't difficult at all.

PHENOMENAL! The BEST math teacher I have ever had. I took her for math 128, a 6 unit course. Denise was involved in designing the course so she knows the material inside and out and is super organized. This class is TOUGH. Hours of lecture, homework and studying paid off because I got an A-. (I studied for 12 hours for the final.) HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I took math with Chellsen my first year at Cuesta, she was absolutely great. She is very friendly, caring, and knows how to teach. I've always struggled with math- Algebra specifically, but she is truly dedicated to her class and one of the best teachers I've ever had. She'll take the time to help you understand.

Denise is an amazing professor. This class gave me the confidence I had yearned for in mathematics, I got my first A ever( I failed algebra twice). She is organized to a fault, and her professional yet caring demeanor is something that I have not seen in a lot of professors. Prepare to work and do your HW, she will work with you as much as she can.

Denise makes sure she is available for her students. She offers extra credit on every other homework packet, which can add up over the class. She genuinely cares, but make no mistake, she will not put up with slackers. If you're not strong with the material, attendance is a must.

She is one of the most organized people on the planet. She cares deeply about her students and wants everyone to do the beat they can. She has many great tips for students, not just to succeed in math, but in life as well. I would take her again, no questions asked.

Chellsen is one of the most caring and dedicated teachers from whom I have ever taken a class. Math 128 is extremely challenging, yet Chellsen dedicated time both in and out of class to ensure that students had the resources to excel in the course. If you put in the work and time, you can do well in this and future courses. I highly recommend her

Nice person. Clearly enjoys teaching. Huge amount of homework. 6 non-transferable credits. Class needs to be restructured for non-math majors. Don't take it unless you have to.

Worse teacher ever. Doesnt understand that non math majors have to take this rediculus class for general ed. Class not transferable to a 4 year college. She lectures on advanced issues that arent to be tested. If you are a non math major skip this nieve math scholar.

Ms. Chellsen is such a great professor! She genuinely cares about her students and them passing. She likes to keep things light and funny but still teaches very well. Homework packets are due every week but at the end of the week so you can go at your own pace. If she knows you're falling behind she'll take the time to personally check on you.

Absolutely a pleasure taking Math 128 with Ms. Chellsen! Wish I could take her for every math class going forward. This course has many quizzes, tests and lots of homework, however if you take notes in class its easy She wants her students to succeed. Come to class, do your homework, and you should receive an awesome experience and hopefully an A!

She really cares about her students and always reminds them that she and tutors are available to help them with their classes. Her teaching style is really clear, and she posts the notes online in case you miss a class. There is a bit of homework, but it all seemed necessary. Never any trick questions on a test.

Comment:

Professor Chellsen is one of few teachers who go above and beyond for her students. I was in her Math 128 and even though it's a 6 Unit class she made it a breeze. The quizzes/exams material come from the book and the review that she hands out, make sure to do them if you want 100% every time. Over all she will help you but you have to try!

I have struggled with math my entire life, but with this instructor I not only understand it, I actually LIKE it. Being a 6 unit class, it moves fast and waits for no one. As long as you go to class every day, and do the homework and study guides it is not to bad.

I haven't had a math class in 3 years! She was the best teacher I have ever had! I wish I could have her for stats. If math is not your best subject, then she is the you need! I had never had an A on a math test in my life and her teaching methods helped me get that A! DO YOUR HOMEWORK EVERY NIGHT for MATH 128!

Amazing teacher! She is very thorough and patient. Always has her office door open for questions. She encourages everyone to do their best and to get help where and when needed. Be prepared to STUDY. If you don't keep up with the homework you will probably not pass. Take the course seriously and use her helpfulness to your advantage.
