I have taken his online class, please do not take it. While this teacher is helpful in questions and allowing work to be done past due, the questions this teacher gives you are not even in the book. Online lab work is confusing, some questions are not even in the chapters one is on. Chemistry is hard for me, he made it even harder.

Take him!! It was my first time taking chemistry and I really liked it because he was very straight foward in what he teaches and you have to read the book to get an A or B... This is an easy professor! take him but not very helpful but can go to tutoring for some questions and you will be great> He is nice

At first he was confusing...and its hard to read his handwriting (which to me, is very irritating)... but once you get used to him, you'll like him! hes easy & lenient. Hint: You should read the book!

I love this man! This was the first time ever taking Chemistry and he made it easy to understand. I the reason why is because uses the old school technique. That is writing out the important information on the board and breaking the problem down. I wish he taught Organic Chemistry because I would take him again. Thank you professor.

He made a hard subject easy to understand and never had a problem explaining things. He only assigns a couple homework Q's from every chapter. If you want an A or B you should do all the review Q's. He does get upset when peiple text in class and will stop everything and point you out. He has a tilted grading scale: A=85%, B=75% and C=65%

This professor is a great professor. He has a great method of teaching, he provides you with notes so you can pay attention to his lecture(well at least at beginning). This was second time taking this class an it was a step up all around from the other professor. I recommend this class and specially this professor. most of the class will agree.

Prof. Al-Fekri was a great professor. I took him Fall '10 and really enjoyed the class. Sometimes he can be a little bit confusing, but he really knows his stuff. He curves his grade to where an A is 85% and above. If you really put in the work, then you will definitely pass. I totally recommend this professor!

One of the best professors. He knows his stuff. Makes learning fun and keeps you interested. Great instructor! Just remember that when the movie starts, pay attention.

Excellent chemistry teacher. If you put in the time you'll get an A or a B. He curves his grading scale by 5% (An A- is 85%, B- is 75% etc.)

I took him spring 10 and pass his class however i don't recommend to any one to take him. The class was not that much hard but he make it hard and confused the student all the time. He is rude and mean too. There are a good, bright professors who knows their own staff.

Easy A. Where can u find a Chem. Instructor who will give an A grade to an 85% and above of the total coursework. It's only him, others follow the usual and standard grading of 90% and above. I took his class spring10 and got an A. Those who are saying negatives and fail, did not do their part and deserved it.

I don't recommend Dr. Al-Fekri to anyone. I took him spring 10 and the entire class was suffering. He doesn't know his stuff properly. He spent more minutes to solve one question. His accent was very hard to understand, he doesn't grade properly. Make sure you keep checking your grade other wise he will mess you up. I think he need to be retire.

He's ok. Does drop one quiz, one exam, and one lab plus the 85% and up is an A. He can crack a joke every now and then, but I never liked attending class. I would recommend him simply because he wasn't too difficult, rude, or super strict.
