Do not take class with this teacher. The class is unorganized and they give you a ridiculous amount of work at the end of the semester when you need to study. He grades based of his views not whats actually correct or anything. Never dealt with a teacher that was so oblivious and uneducated in the subject he was teaching.

Miller is super nice. Although I liked him as a person, his lectures are misleading. It was difficult to know what to study. Things he barely spoke about showed up on tests instead of major topics. But he is really helpful in office hours and lets you review tests. Final has 50% exact questions from midterms. Show up, take notes, and study a bit.

i believe we had 2 tests and a final. gives previous year test and questions out of the book to study. previous tests Q's sometimes carry over to the test you are taking. there are also parts from the lecture that carry over to the test ,mostly drawings. the lab was the most difficult, rough drafts are treated like final papers.

He is a nice guy and the class was pretty interesting. He could definitely use some organization and be more clear when it comes to assignments. He also makes me feel kind of uncomfortable, he ALWAYS calls on students randomly and hold eye contact for too long.

I thought he was a great guy but he was disorganized and was not very clear about what would be on our tests. There were only 3 tests including the final and if you miss just a few answers suddenly you had a C on the test. He was engaging, humorous, and knowledgeable but the structure was not there. Study the minutiae and you will get a good grade

Don Miller is the man. Funny guy, easy to understand teaching style, and tests that aren't overwhelming. Almost makes me want to be a biology major. He's easily one of my favorite professors that I've had here at Chico.

Dr Miller is an awesome guy. Very fun teacher who loves to engage the students. Ecology is a very easy class with him and is actually a joy to take. Please take into account upper division ratings rather than Biol 101 ratings because many people in Biol 101 aren't even interested in biology. Don is an absolute ecology NUT

He is a wonderful, passionate teacher, who loves to engage his students. He is very active in his teaching and learns students on an individual level. He is not overbearing and breaks everything down in a very entertaining manner. GO TO CLASS!!! It will be a pleasant surprise.

Good instructor. Great guy. Just know well the assigned reading material. Prof. Miller has a sense of humor, but nothing in left field. He's pretty level & fair in grading. Don't take too much for granted. If you're not sure about the material, ask him.

He's a great teacher, very willing to help and he expects you to be in class because he gives tests on the lectures. If you don't care too much for Biology but have to take it - take this class! If you like Biology, take this class because he is helpful and you are bound to learn something interesting!
