Doris is THE MOST frustrating woman I have ever met. The type of teacher I hope to NEVER become or interact with again. Yes or no question = 20 minutes of explanation, leaving you still confused. Disappointing. I wish I could possibly put it into words. Shaking my head at who needed to fill a job so badly that they resorted to hiring this woman.

Professor Walker-Dalhouse is knowledgeable, but lacks a little in creativity. Her assignments come mainly from the text in the form of chapter review questions. Tests tend to have to be curved, but at least the curve is generous!

Be prepared to watch videos. Her tests have nothing to do with the videos you watch so be sure to keep up with your reading. There are three correct answers for every question...but the "CORRECT" answer is her opinion. Good Luck...I remember nothing from the class.

Very knolwedgeable teacher. Very professional person. Seems like she does little planning and when you approach her with a question you leave it without it being answered. A great class if you are going to be a film critic. Does not explain assignments at all.

Okay, yes, she's a nice lady. Yes, she knows probably the most in her field of study - very knowledgeable. But no, she is not a good teacher. Having students sit in front of endless videos and then not explaining assignments are not qualities of a great teacher. And by the way, no, I am not ****.

Totally agree with postive ratings. This instructor is good. She's an expert in her field and once you get to know her (she's a bit shy) she will help you tremendously. So glad I took her for Ed classes. Immature students need to grow up and lean that being made work makes for a much more valuable class. I recommend this prof highly.

Knows more about reading than anyone in the Ed dpt. Students seem to rate her lower due to their own racism or not understanding her style (or both). But Dr. Dalhouse's really helpful and will anwer any of your questons if you make the effort to talk with her outside of class. Take her. She's good.

Didn't really teach the class, rather, she put us in front of movies almost every day. I can say with all honesty that I probably learned only one thing from this class->She shouldn't be teaching it! However, she is a nice person if that matters.

for real... I almost cried when she tried to drop my grade down because of too many absinces. A.) I hadn't missed what she said i had and B.) I didn't want to retake any class with her!! She was horrible.
