Awful professor. Doesn't lecture well and seems like he doesn't know what he's talking about. He also has a weird thing against Chinese people. He called out the Chinese students in our class on the first day, even though they didn't do anything wrong. He spent a whole lecture complaining about China's semiconductor industry instead of teaching us.

While the VLSI is all about technologies, giving some obsolete lectures is the only thing he does. Nothing to learn from his lectures. IMPOSSIBLE to access him out of the classroom. Sending email to him is forbidden. Weird as hell.

Excellent professor. Drives you to work very hard. Doesn't like lazy students. You'll learn a ton. Very time consuming... wouldn't advise mixing this class with a job. Grade A class.

Professor Friedman is an interesting guy. He has tons of industry experience, and he talks about it all the time. This class is the most difficult, but also the best course in terms of material that I have had at the University of Rochester.
