He's very easy to understand and gives lots of examples. His lectures are very interesting! The book matches up perfectly with the lectures and if you read and go to lecture it is very easy to get an A.

i loved this class! rhodes is one of the best teachers at rutgers. He jumps up and down and is very passionate about what hes teaching. Very good at wrapping the topic up so you really get it. the class is a good amount of reading but its straight foward and go along with his lectures. i got an A in this class and loved it would def take it over.

great lecturer, very interested in the material. uses good real life examples to relate. tries to scare with readings but all you need is to skim. ace geo quizzes (easy) and showing up to section and 20% of your grade is automatic. not an easy A especially on essays but you have to be way off the mark to get a C on one. great class, easy B, take it

Nice guy, kinda a goofball and all over the place but genuinely wants students to do well. Not the easiest class but definitly worth taking. TAs are great- CRAMER!!! easy map quizzes, going to section is mandatory and all you do is discuss the readings. exams are not too difficult but you should come to lecture and als skim the book.

Rhodes REALLY cares about his students. Not the easiest class, but he wants you to do good and his TAs are extremely helpful as well. TAKE THIS CLASS. I'm not even a poli sci major or minor, I just took this class because Rhodes was teaching it. He's awesome

Professor Rhodes, is by far the best professor I have ever had at Rutgers so far. He's extremely smart and genuine and makes sure you understand the material. His lectures are interesting and very entertaining. Not necessary to read all the readings. I strongly recommend taking Rhodes and IR 102. I switched to poly sci major after taking Rhodes.

Great Prof. Extremely clear during lectures and very passionate. Cares about the students and their understanding of the material. Attend lectures then you don't really hav to read the book and study the case studies. Lectures are pretty funny and his metaphors and explanations are very good. I highly recommend this course and this Prof.

Rhodes is a great professor, one of the best. Very nice, very helpful, and a great lecturer. He's quite animate during class; jumping around and pointing at things and circling stuff- it's great. If you go to every class, you pretty much don't need to read much. Knows how to teach. Grade includes 2 papers, 3 exams, and 5 geography quizzes.

Hilarious. Very nice, awesome professor. Excellent teacher, great TAs. Lots of reading, don't need to do it all. Definitely read case studies before recitation. Write down everything he writes on the board, and expect him to put a box and arrows around it about 87 times.

Professor Rhodes is an extremeley energetic professor. Wierd, but keeps you interested. He LOVES COCA COLA, and drinks it throughout lectures. He constantly reminisces obn how his brother teased him, but somehow makes it relevant to the info being taught. WRITE THE THINGS HE WRITES ON THE BOARD, and then expect them to be underlined a lot haha

Prof. Rhodes is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He is really helpful and extremely nice. He genuinely cares about his students and is more than willing to help them be it issues with future career advice or just questions from class. For IR 102, make sure you do the assigned reading and case studies. Do the memos. They are important.

Prof.Rhodes, very charismatic. He knows his material very well; very thorough. If you want to learn, take this class. Had Mr.Benj.Peters as TA, a great TA...VERY fair grader. Initially intimidated by this class but did well. Didn't really read txt book and did well. Make sure u read case studies & ace all geo quiz(grader booster)!

is clear and informative in his teachings..the TA's grading policies are a bit unfair...but overall an OK professor who knows his job precisely...the only negative is that he will make you buy these 100$ books which he hardly utilizes for the exams.

Hard class, but definitely worth it. Rhodes is fantastic, very clear, gives you the notes you need, makes you WANT to come to class. There is a LOT of reading though and the exams are difficult (essays!) and TA's could be more fair. However, his great lectures make up for it all. He knows his stuff, loves it, and loves teaching. Very approachable.

Amazing professor!if you only take one poli sci course at rutgers,take this one with him!I learned so much,he is soo nice,smart,helpful.Ton of reading,butI skimmed through itallthe night before the exams andaced them.Case studies must be read.I recommend being active in sections cause the TAs grade your essays+test essays. Tests are easy with notes
