Comment:

Professor Weis is a great lecturer. She knows her stuff. Her papers were long, and you had to do your research. Her tests were also detailed and a bit difficult. Her two special classes are Hitchcock, and comedy. I enjoyed the discussions. It is a long class, but one well worth it. Especially if your a film major.

Her behavior might make you think 'Oh, she is cool.' In reality she is not. She doesn't like to repeat her words.Exams are really very hard. It is really hard to understand her questions.She never helped me in any way.I am a straight 4.0 student but I struggled in her class, never missed a class but she gave me my 1st A-.An Evil!

She's a pretty good teacher. Rants a little every now and then and lectures are a little too long to sit through but overall shes not so bad. her tests are very specific which is annoying but if you study from the textbook youll be fine. and remember the things she repeats in class, if she says it more then 3 times its on the test!

She´s the most adorable person as well as an extremely competent teacher. I wish she was my aunt. :) Knows what she is talking about, and gives you many interesting facts. The textbook is awful, mostly lists of directors that represent a movement - no idea how to study from that. Good film choices, although I would have wished for less obscure ones

In order to do well on her exams you must read every knoock & cranny of the text, b/c she asks the most specific things (i.e.: what was the percentage of people who saw movies in 1901?, or something like that). & she talks A LOT!

I found this class to be very, very interesting. If you're into movies and anazlying them, this class is definitely for you. She gives you 3 tests and 1 paper and lets you drop the lowest grade. Class can be easy if work done, and you leave with something
