Professor Berg is amazing! I would def recommend taking her for SOC 102. I took her over summer so there was less work than in a semester. She gives great feedback and grades assignments really quickly. There is a lot of group work though, but it's not bad. Prof. Berg cares about how well you do in her class, she will make sure you stay on track.

Professor Berg really cares about her students and their success. Her lectures are very interesting and she loves when students participate in class. Work is not too bad but it is definitely designed to make sure you understand the material. With the 30 hours of service learning, a lot of the places offer flexibility and Berg will work with you.

Although we had a lot of reports on articles (1-2 a week), it was all very easy. This class was interesting on so many levels, and Berg herself is so kind and a nice grader when it comes to the reports, other assignments, and project. This class is great as long as you do all of the work. You won't regret this class if you're proactive!

Im awful at math but she made stats fun and easy to understand. Do the work, ask questions, and study and youll pass, and realize that she wants to to do well!

Stats is a tough subject, but professor Berg cares about you and works in every way to make sure you pass. The homeworks are simple questions as well as the labs and online assignments which are an easy 5 points. The tests are directly copied from the study guides and she posts keys and video lectures that help a lot. She gives partial credit alot

I love her, she simply loves teaching about sport. So it make its easy for you to understand. Be ready to read, there is a lot of reading and writing in her class but thats because its a writing intensive class. Everything is easy and interesting. Very eye opening to things she teaches us and tells about sport.

Class was really great and it taught me many things. But in order to pass this class, you need to do 30+ hours of community service or else you can't pass this class. Hard for me to do considering that I was a full time student and working a job as well.

AMAZING PROF!! Class is straight forward, especially over summer. A lecture & lab per day corresponding to one week of school. Need to purchase notes packet. They are so clear to understand, no need for the textbook. 3 exams total, mirroring the study guides. She even gives hints on exam ?s. Study the notes and do the HW to pass with an easy A.

Three written exams, 18 fairly long reading assignments with discussion questions, 3 three-page Sports Media Analyses, with a dominant lecture-based class format. Instructor is enthusiastic, thought provoking, and approachable. Highly opinionated, but welcomes discussion. Conventional sporting practices and institutions are challenged in class!

My favorite professor ever. I took her for 101 and only wanted to take 102 with her after that. Always has great energy, very helpful, actually cares about her students, will not move on until students understand material, so organized it's insane, didn't use textbook in 101, you need it in 102, highly recommend, amount of work is so doable.

THE BEST soc professor I have had. Many of my friends tend to agree, whenever the topic of stats comes up in any of our classes, not just me or my friends, but random people will insist that whoever is signing up take Berg, and they're right. Take Berg. Even if it's not for stats. She's just a gem.

Shes amazing! I thought this class would be the death of me. I was wrong. She teaches and organizes the class in a way that is easier to understand and enjoy. She is kind and goes the extra mile by putting YOUTUBE videos going through the study guides. Take her, you will not regret it
