He is a great professor his grading scale is much better then most professors. If given the opportunity I would take his class again. He does not do multiple choice questions so study. He is pretty funny also it's hard not to have a dry lecture bc chem is so boring but he tries to spice it up.

He loves his job and is very good again, I was very disappointed when I did not get a spot for his 106 class.

He is a pretty good professor he goes into a lot of detail and is willing to help you if you just talk to him. I did not use the book but he does recommend it. He does not like multiple choice on his quizzes or test so be prepared to know all your own answers.

An amazing person and professor. I took him in 105106, and i am bad at chemistry and never liked it but Dr. Glendening made it actually not as bad. Difficult exams, we quizzes that help for the exams, past two semesters old quizzes and exams really help for the new exams, and heavy lectures. No extra credit but he still helps you. He is the best!

A very kind guy who is more than willing to spend 60+ minutes with you one-on-one if you don't understand a concept. The lectures were interesting and the tests were challenging. You should prepare a week in advanced for his tests, but it is possible to do well on them. Rewrite the notes and take the practice exams, they help a lot.

Glendening has been my favorite professor here at ISU. He truly wants all of his students to succeed. Definitely go to his office hours and the SI sessions for they will help tremendously. He also post past test, with and without answers, to to help you study for exams. He made me fall in love with Chemistry all over again.

I was fairly nervous going into this class, as I had not taken chemistry for a while. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this class came to me. Most students complain that the tests are very hard, but I found them all to be quite simple. As long as you are thorough in your reviewing you should be able to get an a easily.

Glendening's tests are impossible. Also if you get behind in this course there is no catching up. Good luck I would take someone else if at all possible.

Dr. Glendening is a fantastic chemistry professor and easily offers one of the most descriptive chemistry classes I have taken. Be prepared to work; the class is hard, does have homework and attendance is key. The tests are difficult but definitely doable. Luckily, you have a helpful professor to guide you through the challenges

He goes over the material well, but puts questions we've never seen nor went over on the test. His tests are extremely hard. The only reason I passed was because of the OWL homework. Have quizzes roughly once a week. Take Rosenhein if you have the chance. He's not very good either, but his tests are much better.

Dr. Glendening is kind and intelligent, but his course is the toughest I have faced yet. The tests are incredibly hard, especially compared to the assignments. Be prepared to devote yourself to the class. I always attend, study hard, and still have a C-. I am usually an all A student, but I can't pass a single test in this class.

Excellent caring professor. Takes an interest in his students and renewed my faith in the Indiana State University Faculty. Chemistry is an extremely hard subject. Dr. Glendening knows this and does his absolute best to foster his students success. If you need a year of chemistry register for Dr. Glendening's sections and not Dr. Rosenhein.
