Weird class. Nobody enjoyed and really just felt like an unguided journey down a rabbit hole of controversial issues. No actual instruction past the first class.

Eric was such an amazing professor to have. He is passionate about the material and makes class exciting. There is a lot of reading and a lot of work, but it's a lit class so that's to be expected. I would definitely recommend Eric as a professor.

Reimer is a really wonderful professor, he cares whether or not students pass, is super interactive, and has really fun/creative tie-ins with his lectures. He loves using music & visual aids and it makes for a more enjoyable class atmosphere. :)

Passionate and likable. Most classes were a lecture-discussion hybrid; you could get by without talking much, but he did sometimes cold-call people. He's competent with tech and uses PowerPoint and videos a lot. Tough grader -- clear on what he wants in a paper, but sets the bar very high. Was willing to work with me when I was having difficulties.

As a major in the art of literature I went into this class expecting the usual . Eric went above and beyond, with such short time for class he packed as much discussion into the period as possible. He is outgoing and loves his job . If you want a professor with enthusiasm take his course

I went into Prof. Reimer's class expecting for this to be my 'fun class' and that this was going to be something I really enjoyed taking after reading the reviews on this site. I was quite mistaken. The lectures were horribly long and grading was really tough. I was told by him that "he hardly ever 'gives' A's.

I was never bored once in his class. Great discussion leader. He added something new to each class, like music relating to our reading, or a clip from a movie or news program.

Eric is a personable and very understanding teacher. Not only does he loves the subject matter, but you can tell he loves to teach. He pushes you to think outside the box and connect ideas and themes you wouldn't normally think about. He uses music and film to add to the class, which makes it fun. He's a great guy and I loved going to his class.

Eric's class was my favorite class I took at UM, both because of the subject matter and his style as a professor. Makes the classroom feel comfortable and safe. He is a passionate, intelligent professor and a great guy. Highly recommended!

Comment:
Uses class as a therapy session to work out his personal problems. His style is very haphazard and he lacks confidence in his teaching abilities (rightly so).
