really tough grader as I heard. many of my friends took him and he just reads from the book. avoid him for linear if you can. many people fail that class every year. almost 40%

Comment:

The best teacher ever. I took his class and he was amazing. Explaining the material and asking feedback from the students to come up with a better material. Gives a lot of notes papers and uses online homework; you wont need a textbook. He made stats easy. If You need stats class, take him and trust me easy A.

Comment:

Erik is one of those professors that will put in the effort if you do. If you take just an ounce of work and put it towards his class he'll bend over backwards to make sure you pass. I found his lectures extremely effective and him as a person just incredible. As far as math classes go, I can't think of anyone else I'd go to.

Never met instructor better in his subject. He is so good at speaking, pacing, expleaning. If you want understand The thing you have hard time take him. Magnetic. Erik is also too smart. Make clear plan how much you study for your other classes and do not let he takes all your time. Group yourself with trusted pairs.

Comment:

Erik is a great teacher, always willing to help those who are willing to work and try hard. There was always time in class for questions about homework or if we were confused on anything. I will continue to take this instructor for my next class. :)

Erik is a good person but he gets confusing as a teacher there are many times where in lectures he tries to explain what he is doing but he ends up confusing his students even more. Also, there is a big project that he has you do and there is a lot of work to be done in a little amount of time.

Took his 081 course. I found the material was presented clearly, the grading criteria was very clear, and the homework load is reasonable. If you attend class and do the homework on time, you will know the material when the tests come up. Don't sign up for his class if you're not going to show up, his classes usually have a waitlist.

He is amazing!! My first math class was terrible and I was hesitant to take a math and I am so glad I took Erik! He cares so much about his students. If you are hesitant about a topic please reach out to him, he wont let you leave unless you understand :)

By far my favorite math teach in years! He is straightforward, and as long as you're there and follow his steps math will start to make sense. He doesn't assume you know everything and reminds you why you do certain steps without getting off topic. I highly recommend if you have trouble with math!

Comment:

Ive been out of a math class for several years now and was really nervous about having to take math in college. Erik was one of the best teachers iv ever had. Its nice to not only have a teacher who cares so much about your education but your outside life as well. He is very dedicated to his students.
