Davidson is an amazing professor. She is very intelligent and knows what she's talking about. Listen in class and do the readings and you will have no trouble getting a good grade.

Comment:

Professor Davidson is an extremely knowledgeable political geographer and quantitative scientist. I learned so much about electoral processes around the world and gained insightful comparisons between the nuances of each. However, she also excels at analysis of the meaty political issues involved, as well. A privilege to attend her class.

3 projects (easy), 4 tests, and blogs. Random extra credit. Not a hard class but prepare to hear a tonnnnn about topography and the environment. Kind of boring but still a great class and easy A. Dr. Davidson herself is super cool.

Comment:

Dr. Davidson has been one of my favorite professors ever. She gives incredible lectures (seriously 1.5 hours flies by they are that good). Her tests are all essay-based but she is a fair grader. We do have a few projects but they are easy and most people bring food for them. Take her class if you have the opportunity to!

I have taken 3 classes from Davidson and she is by far my favorite professor. Her lectures are really interesting and I have gotten A's in all of the classes I've taken from her. As long as you don't skip class and take good notes, you'll do fine!

This was my second class with Dr. Davidson and I would recommend everybody take her. The lectures are clear and concise. Do not buy the textbook. The exams are definitions, short answers, and short essays and she gives you great reviews. Tons of extra credit. Any one who didn't make an A put no effort in the class whatsoever

Avoid at all costs. Left test making up to teaching assistants, lectures LONG and boring, absurdly difficult tests. Literally the exact opposite of what you are looking for in a survey class. Avoid at all costs.

She's a really clear lecturer, and she loves anything nerdy (Doctor Who, Sherlock, etc.). Her Scottish accent actually keeps me paying attention because it sounds so cool.

I loved Dr. Davidson's Urban Geography class! She is super smart and makes her class fun and interesting. Take good notes and do the outside readings for an A. No textbook, but must spend money on end semester city group project, so be prepared for that. Still cheaper than buying a text book. Great Professor!

My favorite teacher this semester. She knows her stuff. There are no textbooks for this class, so it's extremely important to attend lectures. I'm really sorry for not being able to take any more of professor Davidson's classes.

She is an amazing professor! Her knowledge of Europe is very clear and it comes through in every lecture. Tests are ID and short essay, but they're not too bad. Don't buy the textbook. She goes off the syllabus, but it's not really a big deal. Quizzes every week and attendance taken on days when not many people are there. Great class! Take it!

Don't expect to get any feedback. Expect to not go off of the syllabus. She changes things on it from day one and it's a pattern throughout the semester. Attendance is randomly taken. Review sheets are helpful. I'd say don't buy the book since we never used it in class, but I learned more from the book than from her. It helps fill the gaps.

She was a very interesting teacher and she taught me a lot of diction that I use in my everyday life now. Cool accent that kind of put me to sleep some days lol. But it was an easy class, use Maci the teacher's aid if she's still there, to your advantage. They both work hard but they're really disorganized at times. DON'T BUY THE TEXT BOOK.
