Comment:

I love his insights and little tricks to help memorize and learn this ancient biblical language. Really learning English grammar as well, but not all in the class gets it. One of study buddies last semester thought he shouldn't have to study outside of class and needless to say dropped out. But I love this prof for Greek.

I love this class. The group worksheets were great and lectures keep to minimum. I did spend time online taking quizzes, but it freed up class time for group work. Loved the spirit of the Prof.

Comment:

Pastoral Epistles - very organized course and easy to complete the requirements for a senior level class. After having him for Gospels, I expected more work. If he did all his classes like this one, he'd be rated higher.

He is a kind and fair teacher, but unfortunately his teaching style is not conducive to learning. One must fend for himself if he wants learn the material for the most part. He is willing to help, but if you plan on learning the material simply by going to class and a little studying this is not the class for you. Great guy, bad methods.

HE is a bit dry to some, but he's very thorough. His workload is pretty heavy,b ut you are so much better off because of it. His tests are hard and you have to study, but you come away from them with so much knowledge. Oh and take good notes in class, he collects them.

Holy crap avoid this man. Teaches like a shotgun buckshot - all over the place. And can we say freakin psycho essay tests? His study guide gives you a list of 10 - 15 essays to study. Class notebook - never understood. And can we say Aposticy Paper??!?!

He definitely knows quite a bit about Greek, but his method of teaching leaves a lot to be desired. The student must fend for his/herself throughout the class. He is fair and a great person, but his method of teaching is severely out of date.

The man is tough, but he really knows what he's doing. If you put the work in, he will help you however necessary, and you will learn a lot. He really, really knows his Greek, and will teach you well.
