Comment:
I was sort of disappointed by this class. The tests are fair, but the work is not always clearly laid out and the TA was pretty rude. His personality shines through every once in a while, but overall, he didn't strike me as completely passionate or excited about chemistry.

The class is definitely not an easy A but the teacher makes it a fun experience and really does help you through when you ask questions or need more clarification. His tests are difficult but gives study exams that help a lot. Would take this class over again with him if possible.

Professor Petrucci was by far my favorite professor this fall. He works hard in class and really goes through the effort to get to know his students. He was there to help me every step of the way through the classes, and really wants his students to learn. Admittedly his lectures are not all that engaging, but his tests are easy and very fair.

This class is impossible. The tests are really hard and the study guide does not prepare you for them. He taught for the first test which I failed and then he tried an inverted classroom, which obviously doesn't work, where you teach yourself everything, which made me fail even more. The class would've been better if he lectured the whole semester.

This professor was fun and made the lectures interesting. I also love the topics though so I am kind of biased. I would seek him out if I had the choice of professor.

For this class, you must dedicate the time and energy at all hours to get at least a decent grade. Hardest class had to take for the major. Homework is online and doesn't really relate to the exams. Only have 2 hours out of 3 hour time block to complete it. Prepare to work your ass off or you'll fail.

Thought that taking the advanced Chem 035 would be challenging, but did not expect to be failing after the first test! Way too difficult, and the tests are horrible. Try to avoid this class at all costs.

Chem 35 with Petrucci was one of the most enjoyable classes I've ever taken. The lectures were interesting and he was always willing to answer questions during lecture. The exams were challenging but with good preparation you will be fine. The labs for chem 35 required a significant amount of work but they are good preparation for later courses.

Worst class I have ever taken. He is not a good teacher. When I went in for help, he made me feel like I was stupid. Lab reports are graded so harshly and the tests are impossible. If you can, do not take this class.

The class was probably the hardest I have ever taken, but he tried to make the material as simple as possible. He was a very nice guy and very passionate about his work. If you need to take it, print out the lecture slides and take notes on them, also be ready to put in the time.

Difficult class; he only gives two hours for the exams, which tends to be too little. The labs are easy if you give them time and the quizzes are open-note, so those should both be a grade-booster. You should do the homework, even though it's optional.

I rated him semi-poorly because he is MAKES the hard class and knows it. I don't see why because the material actually seems really easy. There is a lot of work. I feel like I could have gotten more out of this course if petrucci was a little more in tune with the students progress. Overall he is smart and should be getting good ratings but not today...

he was not a very good teacher and did very little to help if help was needed. He graded fairly but was not the best at explaining something if you didn't get it.

Hard class. We had the new labs, they were difficult and didn't come out well which sucked because you were graded on accuracy. He'll help you if you work for it.

Brutal class... somehow got a good grade, even though he said he wasn't going to curve it at all. Most of the time interesting, but it was a lot of work. Labs take foooooreeeever.

Petrucci is really helpfull. He really believes in SI, review sessions. If you show up and actually try he will as much as he can to help you get an alright grade. I will not lie, this class is hard, and you do have to do A LOT of work, but Petrucci makes it a little more fun. He's got some really good and fun experiments in class!
