Comment:
His lectures can be hard to follow and quite dry. I had to read the textbook and it explains much better. However, his final exam was the most reasonable one I've taken in MUN-- with adequate difficulty and ample time to finish . And he graded us very generously.

Great Prof! He makes the material easy to understand (it's easy anyway), and is both friendly and helpful. Tests were very simple, much easier than the CAPA assignments, which Rick Goulding have made difficult. I would highly suggest Quirion's class.

It's hard to find a prof that you can genuinely learn from during lectures, but his teaching skills are good. Fair marker.

Slight accent makes him hard to understand at times, but overall a nice guy who is willing to help. tests and assignments were a little difficult, that was taken into account when marking. All in all I'd take the class with him again.

He geniunely cares for his students, but as a prof he is useless. His notes are all over the place and often makes errors when doing examples in class. Not a great prof.

I loved the PowerPoint slides used for lecture notes, and the breakdown of the marks for the course. Some lectures were quite drawn out and dull, but overall the material was handled well. The tests and exams were fair, and lots of CAPA assignments made it easier to maintain a good grade.

very arrogant man, and not terribly concerned with students - i think he typically doesn't think students are very smart and gives no credit where its due. he makes a ton of mistakes in class.tests are fairly easy though ...

He's got a thick accent but I wouldn't consider it a language barrier. He's pretty easy going and helpful and his notes are decent, though I didn't like the transparency stuff, but handouts were nice.

Once you get used to the accent, he's pretty good at explaining things. I like him, he's friendly. CAPAs are madness, but I'm not sure if that's totally his fault...

He has been known to brutalize in oral exam sections and in questioning after presentations. He's a relatively good teacher, however, and if you have him for a lower-level course (ie. PHYS2053), his tests and assignments are pretty reasonable.
