Comment:

Love him as a person, as a professor he's terrible. If you have trouble with math, do not take him! It was nice that he allowed you to take tests up to a week after in the testing center, but other than that I wouldn't recommend him! The rest of the class and I basically taught ourselves. He expects you to know lots of stuff before going in.

Best math teacher I ever had in my life. Very knowledgeable. Patience of a Saint. Extremely helpful. Well organized lectures and wont change topics until there is a clear understanding by all. Wants you to succeed. Need help? Just ask, it shall be done. Easy grader. Throws away lowest test score and several quiz scores. Homework is optional

This man is wonderful. You are given all the tools you need to pass with a 4.0. All you need to do is communicate with him and express your concerns and difficulties. Harry is also extremely funny and makes class fun even for those that hate math.

Comment:

Not only is professor Libka a wonderful man and educator, he cares about his students. Due to health issues I stopped attending lectured and taught myself the material. He allowed me to turn in quizzes the class after they were handed out and allowed all students to take a test within one week of the test date.

He is an awesome professor period. Class is only challenging if you don't do the OPTIONAL homework (not turned in) because math takes practice. He covers absolutely everything in class very effectively and only moves on further if there are no questions. He is helpful if needed and is very available outside of class.

Harry is very helpful to students. Never condescending or patronizing. Never makes people feel stupid for not catching on quickly, as some other professors do. Highly recommended.

Math is by far my worst subject. I had not taken a math class for over 6 years when I started his class. Not only was he easy to understand, he grades all of your homework so it gives you alot of extra padding so your grade isn't just based on tests. He also allows a formula sheet on tests. I ended with a 3.5 (my highest math grade ever!)

He is a great teacher! I am so glad I took trig with Mr. Libka. I appreciated all the hours after class that he stayed to help students with homework. He has a good sense of humor and you can tell he loves what he does!

I have had 4 math teachers at Mott (none of them being bad) Mr Libka was by far the best. He spends a lot of time working with his students outside of class that others would not. I was actually sad the semester ended. I will miss him as a teacher.
