HORRIBLE! Class lasted 20 minutes on average. He did nothing but read PowerPoint slides and jabber. Didn't bother to explain much of anything. JavaScript labs are impossible and he doesn't help. I do NOT recommend this class, even to CS majors.

The Worst professor I have ever had...or teacher of any kind. I'm sorry but he is too old to be teaching a Computer Course and needs to retire. He doesn't know how to teach or explain anything and I have no clue what the class was even about. He NEEDS TO RETIRE>...do NOT take this class!

Migth be the most horrible class ever taken. He assumes that everyone knows whathe is talking about, so he wont give any examples. Tests are impossible and homework does nothing to help you understand the material. NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS!!

Wow, i didn't think i would ever be bored when it came to a computer class, but Dr. Smith accomplished it. this class was insanely hard not because he doesn't know what he's doing, but because he can't teach. If you're going to take this class i suggest that you just stick to learning it on your own

I understand him losing his wife but he didn't need to return to teaching. You will not understand his material unless you are especially gifted or unless his aide is there to do your work for you. Try to avoid this guy at all cost.

awful class. cannot teach. ended up doing anything but pay attention in lecture because it was so boring and you could barely hear him. exams are ridiculously hard and mostly straight out of the text (which is awful as well). great curve, though.
