As long as you show up and take notes, you can pass the class. His homework is exactly like the class notes and the final exam is an open book test. I would suggest doing his practice exam because they are almost the exact as the final. He's really nice and is willing to help and will be flexible around your schedule.

I had him for the MatLab module of ES101 and everyone in my class loves him. He cares a lot about his students. You can email him any time for help. Most classes are basically how to do the homework, but it worth going every time. Really easy and fun class if you pay attention and do the work. Open book final wasn't bad at all!

Very helpful prof both in and out of class, although course material is quite dry. Holds help sessions for homework as well as exams. Exams may be a bit difficult though.
