Incredibly tough. I worked harder in this class than any other class at Grinnell, but it's also the class I learned the most in. Concepts were often confusing, but his office were very, very helpful. All of the work assigned in the class paid off in the end. He is incredibly knowledgable and is the smartest in the department.

Sure, he's really smart. But he doesn't know how to teach. After each class, you feel really confused. His handwritings are illegible so it's a nightmare when he gives you a handout full of his handwritings. After the course, it's like you take a language class and you think you learn a lot but you write and speak horribly in front of other people.

Probably the smartest (and best) professor in the department. Extremely helpful during office hours, and you will learn ALOT. Mind you, his class isn't easy, so expect to put in a fair amount of work.

I want Mutti to be my spiritual counselor. He's awesome. The class isn't easy, but his helpfulness and "stories" are incredible. He's one of the smartest (but most humble) people I've ever met, and I'm convinced he runs a decent-sized country (but not sure which one, maybe Turkey).

The nature of the material forces the prof to be supersensitive to know the hot spots of the students, a skill that Mutti lacks. Over-assumes the knowledgeability of the students. Needs to learn how to speak English. Too little office hours.
