Idk how he got a good rating but this class gave me complete anxiety. Besides the fact that he doesn't answer emails, his tests are extremely hard. I AM NOT A LAW STUDENT. Hearing his monotone voice for 3 hrs straight makes me want to pop my ear drum. Unless u are ready for panic attacks i dont recommend

Comment:

I really enjoyed a lot of Jack's lectures, which were packed with great case studies and real-life examples that force you to apply what you've learned and think critically. However, his tests are VERY wordy and tricky, and he only gave two tests, which placed too much weight on both. Another exam or paper would be a huge help.

Really fascinating lectures. lots of cool examples and he's super knowledgeable. Don't miss class tests are based primarily on understanding the content as opposed to memorization of facts. Loved his class, others found his very specific wording on the tests difficult. Depends on your thought process. Great for integrated reasoning type minds.

Dull lectures, but probably because of the course. Homework graded on a "okay" to Excellent" scale, not quantified. only a final and midterm. Supposed to be a 20 page paper, but we diddnt get to it.

His class seems easy, but his tests aren't. Scored around the high 50s for his midterm, and the highest was an 80. He curved it thank god. Be prepared if you flunked that midterm, and do better for the final. Didn't read as much and used common logic for his questions for the final. Managed to get an A! Make sure he knows your name

You have to take good notes or you will not do well. His tests are tricky! Study the notes and your book. He is unorganized at times but CAN teach and knows his stuff. You have to attend class or you will miss a huge portion of material. He curves test scores as well.

Smart professor but sometimes bogged down with work as full-time attorney. He is very critical in evaluating contract projects during presentations, but is fair in terms of grading. LAW 652 fulfills a required international elective so his class is worth taking. He is a fair professor but can be hard to reach by email or office hours.

Wow...I absolutely hated his class. It was insanely easy, but so incredibly boring and useless. A midterm, final, final paper, and attendance make up your entire grade. If you take the class, part-time at night after a full day of work, be warned...you won't be happy.

for an intro to business law course, his tests are outrageously tricky. Most tests you are guessing between two or three seemingly possible answers. So study your ass off for the tests and pay attention to what he goes over in class.

This guy is awesome. Lots of notes, but its worth it. Experienced in the field and knows what he's talking about. For tests, he allows you to spend a class arguing questions for points. Average curve for our tests was 14 points. Definitely worth taking

he is a great professor. tests are difficult but we are in grad school...lectures are interesting and clear, i really walked away more educated. he is a nice guy, very straight-forward and kinda funny. really believes in his stuff. curves tests but study the text thoroughly. be prepared to work but a great experience, this guy knows alot.
