I learned a lot from Mr. Barnes! It was one of the easiest A's I've ever gotten. I say that because he makes you learn without really feeling like you're working. He's very helpful!

The man, the myth, the legend.. Jim Barnes. What can I say, the man is the epitome of an OG. If you have a class with him, you'll learn something whether you want to or not. Very knowledgeable guy, great teacher, and cool to talk to.

I only had him for marching band as well and I thought he was a big jerk. Not only was he rude to leadership, he was rude to all sections especially the twirler and guard.

The best thing about this guy is that he was not around this semester (Sp '05) He can be a nice guy outside of class, but very unprofessional and sloppy. What a shame for a school with such a rich history of music
