Dr. James Longo had deteriorated over time. This professor degrades his students and does not help them in any way possible. He prides over his knowledge as a said to be "great" teacher. However, he is disorganized, disrespectful, and most of all he If you do anything wrong, he will make you feel unvalued. This is NOT how a professor should TEACH

Dr. Longo is a very good story teller and definitely commands the attention of a room whenever he speaks. That's about all the positive things I have to say about him. He is a man that loves to pick favorites (attractive young women). His classes are entrenched in 1980s Common Core/Human Resources rhetoric that doesn't prepare students to teach.

The comments about Dr. Longo are simply unfair. If you chose education as your major to be mollycoddled, and then want to blame Dr. Longo for having high standards for you that you can't meet, do us all a favor and stay out of the classroom!!! Dr. Longo has been an inspiration to me, and I credit him immensely with my personal success as a teacher.

Unlike many education professors, Dr. Longo does not teach with flowers and sunshine. He is brutally honest about the profession and does not tolerate substandard work of future teachers. His stories are from experience and should be noted as such. If you cannot cut it in Longo's class, do not teach.

During my time in his classes I was constantly stressed and he drove me crazy. Now that I have been teaching for a few years, I can say that I truly think he prepared me for my career. While he is tough, he definitely prepares you for life as a teacher (and an effective teacher at that!)

This man is one of the most insincere and condescending people that I have ever met. He will not help you unless you grovel at his feet. It is unfortunate that W&J allows this man to be employed after consistently mistreating his students. If the man lived up to his own standards, he would not be seen as such a pompous hypocrite.

rude, condescending, unorganized. shouldn't have his own class. teaches with a co-teacher then makes them do ALL of his work while he rarely show up. when he is there, he brags about his life experiences rather than saying offanything useful.

I would like to say that Dr. Longo is an arrogant jerk who takes other peoples ideas in class and makes them seem like his own just cause he can expand on them. I don't care how smart he is or how long he was at Hawwwvord he is a jerk and not a caring person!!

I have to say that I am a current teacher and without Dr. Longo I do not know where I would be. He is only tough to prepare his students for the realities of the being part of the world of education. I highly recommend his classes. You will learn much from him if you WANT to.
