She is a very rare find, caring, compassionate professor, clear in what she wants. lecture exams are not too difficult, but lab exams are harder. homework is mandatory, and don't half ass it or it'll be your own undoing. overall one pf my favorite professors.

Comment:

I took this while it was still in the works (Spring 2018). Graded mostly on 4 exams (3 and 1 cumulative final) and lab (assignments and 2 practicals) some HW and participation. Do online homework and recharge them to study, great tool for this course. Dr. Anastasia's direct and great with feedback/helping with questions before or after class.

Comment:

Probably the best professor/teacher I have ever had. She is extremely kind and helpful, she tries very hard to have a considerable amount of time dedicated to office hours. Tests can be a bit difficult, relatively specific questions but gives 6 points EC in the form of 3-4 bonus questions. Lab practicals can be difficult as well, studying required.

Amazing! One of the best professors at SCCC. She's very passionate about the material and she's always willing to help out. 3 tests, 2 lab reports, 2 practicals, and a final are given throughout the semester. Make sure to print slides, they help for tests. Wish I could take her again next semester.

LOVE LOVE LOVE HER!!! Wish I could take her again next semester. She is an amazing professor and her lectures are informative. Print out the power points and follow along and take notes and her tests will be a piece of cake. She is so sweet and understanding. Homework once a week online which is so easy, and 3 tests throughout plus final.

Powerpoints help. She's very kind and knows biology well. Very passionate about teaching, allows recorded lectures. She does not give extra credit or review sheets (unless it's for lab practicals) so study the powerpoints and whatever other tools are best for you. Textbook use was optional and only needed for those who needed an extra study method

Honestly can't imagine anyone being better than her. She's amazing. Down to earth, smart, caring. Only 2 lab reports, homework once a week(easy points added to your average), 3 exams, and 2 lab practicals. She is passionate about bio! She explains all the labs in detail and is always willing to help ! If you dont take her you will regret it!

She's super nice and pretty. So so smart and yet still knows how to simplify the material so students can understand it and keep up. Very down to earth and funny. Helpful. Everything you could ever want in a professor.

She's a great teacher. If you study from the powerpoints and use your common sense in the exams you'll be fine. She gives bonus questions on all her test and you only have to write 2 lab reports.

I usually wait to rate my professors until after the semester. I am halfway through this semester and I am completely comfortable saying that this professor is awesome. She is such a sweet lady who is extremely supportive. Her passion is for biology, but I feel that she was BORN to be an educator. She gets it. Take her.

She is the best biology professor i had at suffolk! she is so nice, tests are not that bad, but the final is cumulative. She gave us some extra credit and having for lab is great as well! I totally recommend her. As long as you do the work you will get the A in this class.

She is an excellent professor and keeps you interested in the topic at hand. Seems easy when you first get started but don't let that fool you!! Make sure you study ALL your note for each test!! Tests are pretty difficult if you do not study!!!!! Even the little things make sure you go over. But she is fantastic! Very fun and you have trips as well

I had Prof. Anastasia about two years ago now but I still remember how great class was! She made class FUN and gave us great lectures and to reinforce what we learned in class we went on field trips. Tests are straight from the notes, no curveballs. She attended class each day with a big smile and lots of energy. Helpful, Approachable, KIND A+++

She was by far my favorite professor at Suffolk. She has incredible passion for her subject, and she shows that through her teaching. She made the class very enjoyable, and a very willing professor to offer any help when needed. You'd be a fool not to take her.

She is the sweetest teacher ever. I've never seen her unhappy shes always making jokes and laughing. You learn a whole lot from her and she makes everything understandable. Tests aren't THAT easy but I'm not a good test taker and I've got good grades in this class! She makes science fun, plus you take lots of fun field trips. TAKE HER!
