At first I didn't like him, but now I love him. He's a great guy when you get to know him, and he's really an open book. The people who fail the class deserve to because he gives you exactly what's going to be on the test.

Very interesting class, grabs your attention. MIdterm was memorizing 50 songs, title and artists, he plays 30 seconds of each, final was to know 100 songs. Several in class easy quizzes based on videos and study sheets. Did not use textbook at all. Would def take him again.

I was more than excited to take this class.. now that the semester is over I regret it so much. I came in expecting Fox to actually teach this class. The entire class is based on videos. If you like that its great but if you learn better with an actual teacher you are screwed. There is a LOT of memorization- the final exam is listening only.

Amazing guy! He's very articulate, intelligent and experienced. If you're interested in taking a music course, I highly recommend his Rock Music History course. You watch movies a lot. He's so lenient, and everything he puts on a quiz is exactly what's on the sheets he gives out. Guaranteed to do really well in his class with minimal effort.

History of rock and roll is such an awesome course. I learned so much about the music industry I never knew about. He makes class interesting and he's very chill. Tests are based on the videos we watched plus he gives you a study guide. Stick to that and you'll do good.

This class is interesting and is definitely worth taking. he's never been a grumpy old man to me or my class you must have done something stupid to piss him off whoever rated him before me, but a all around great professor with great teaching skills and really knows how to send students information in the right way.

awsome teacher! loved it...did talk on and on sometimes but some stories are pretty interesting, he GIVES all the answers to his quizes especially on movies, only like 2 for the text and you need to read for those. Fun class

nice guy, knows what he talking about. Seems to cancel class a lot though. Easy class, but i can't say its too useful if you want to get something out of college. Other then that this guy is good, he give you all the notes all you have to do is review them watch video and get an A.

I love his class. I was shocked to hear some of my classmates did not like it. We watch movies from a good selection and hear from his personal experiences. Is there a better way to learn about rock music besides the music itself? Very easy if you pay attention and a very understanding prof.

Very nice guy. Watch videos most classes. Quizzes on video every other week or so. For the quizzes what song was played by artist A in the video was asked alot. Midterm and final are form video quizzes, so dont throw notes away, and from lyrics of Billy Joel we didnt start the fire. If you are around an 80 percent you are exempt from final.

His class is a must take before you graduate, you won't regret it, I promise. Professor Fox isn't like most professors at Nassau, I actually wanted to stay awake in his class. Overall the class is pretty easy, show up for the videos and take notes and you will be set. The quizzes are based on the videos we watch in class.
