This class is tough. BUT the set up is excellent. There are many small assignments outside of class (fill out the note packet) and the credit for these assignments adds up. This makes the class very manageable. Her lectures are outstanding and she will always go above and beyond to help you.

Awful, last semester was a mess. She made the class way harder than what it was suppose to be. She doesn't give actual notes. Whenever I asked her for assistance she would either deny me or skip me and wait till every other student was accommodate. In all honesty take your required coarse with another professor or at a different school.

The course gets easier after the drop deadline. It's as if there is a type of virtual boot camp that you can get past and then you have more leeway. I wish I hadn't stressed myself out so much about the course and had enjoyed it more. One thing she said that I will always remember is, "Don't fear the microbes--they do way more good than harm."

A majority of the work is done outside of class. Read a chapter and fill out a packet, then class time is used as a "review" of the material. Can give good feedback if she wants to otherwise i found that she cant ever decide on what she likes and what she doesn't. I could never win and always seemed to get a bad grade no matter what I did.

One of the best professors at HCCC. She takes a difficult and dense subject and makes it accessible to all learning types. I came into the class expecting to be bored out of my mind learning about diseases and ended up changing my whole major I liked it so much!

Great instructor and a very hard course. I wouldn't have taken more than 1 or 2 other classes if I had known that this one class would consume all of my time. You have a lab every week, about 5-6 chapters to read each module, homework of at least 100 - 300 questions, online work, lab reports, additional projects, and tests with scientific essays.

Amazing teacher - no idea how she ended up at a community college because she's one of the best teachers I've ever had. I didn't want to take the course (Nutrition), but she made the topic clear and learning fun. Top-rate teacher who knows how to engage her students. Very personal, too.
