Comment:

Dr. Yu is one of the most frustrating professors at Fitchburg State University. She is difficult to understand, her methods do not make any sense, and she puts no effort into the course. Most of the 2hr 15min classes are filled with her doing catalatics with us and putting on a video to teach us for her. I seriously do not recommend Dr. Yu.

I should be baffled that this incredibly unhelpful, unclear woman with piss-poor teaching skills is allowed to teach, however I'm sure that FSU makes a pretty penny off of students dropping/withdrawing from her course, so it must be a financial benefit to FSU to keep her. No teaching skills whatsoever. She explains NOTHING. Incredibly disappointed.

Very sweet lady, however the class sucks. She does not explain anything to anyone, and expects everyone to be following along. She jokes around and is very cute but I recommend NOT taking her class.

Very difficult for just a basic lab/science class. This woman is really hard to understand. I would strongly suggest you have a good understanding of the material before taking. I still have no idea how I passed. Save yourself the trouble and agony and avoid. Avoid at all costs. If you are looking to fill a lab credit just take life science. Avoid

I have had the absolute displeasure and misfortune of dealing with this lady for Physics 1 and 2. Teaches next to nothing in class and is very unhelpful. I am perplexed beyond a fathomable scale of disbelief at the idea that this woman could possibly have a job in higher education. If you choose this teacher, you have elected the way of pain!!!!!!

This teacher is ridiculous. I wasted 600 dollars of my money just so that I could withdraw. Don't bother going to class because she doesn't teach. Your best bet is to get a tutor at that time instead. Also, the online quizzes have nothing to do with the chapter tests so don't study them. Also, she's on probation for failing too many students.

Nice lady but not the best teacher. She's used to teaching smart students who know their math and are interested in physics. She has trouble explaining concepts in simple terms. If you pay attention in class and take notes you'll do fine.

she is very bad no word can describe her. she has no interest in any one passing the class. Very frustrating because she does not teach but she expects you to pass all by yourself. she thinks all students are stupid that is why they fail. please please please do not take any of her classes you will regret.

Don't take her if you need to learn - she is difficult to understand and does not care whether or not her students do well. The overall class average was a 57 at the mid-term - she told everyone with a 50 or below to withdraw because there was no way to pass. How she keeps teaching is beyond me? Shouldn't she be accountable?

she is a horrible teacher. in fact she she is not even a teacher because she doesn't know how to teach. she gives you homework and tests on material you have not covered and then makes you feel dumb when you don't get it. Well the reason is because you have not taught anything this semester. Teaches only the concepts and Tests on Math HORRIBLE!!!

I took Physics in high school and did okay, because I could understand the math. I took this class, and ended up withdrawing. She teaches the concept, but all the work she gives is on the math. She is also hard to understand, and gives a lot of work. Avoid her!

She spends way too much time teaching the concepts, considering all the work and tests are the mathematics. If you are VERY good at Trig, you can do okay, otherwise, steer clear. She's very full of herself and will assume that if nobody gets it, they must all be stupid, because nothing could be the fault of her lack of realistic lesson planning.

took over the summer with her...worst professor in the history of FSC. her english is poor, she doesn't teach, she doesn't care. why this woman wants to work with students is beyond me. in physics II, 2 out of 20 kids passed the class. Go somewhere else to take your physics and stay far, far away from the FSC physics department...its ridiculous
