Agree with the others as far as his grading goes. I've seen great students get poor grades and slackers get better grades than deserved. His grading method is way too random to figure out.

Comment:

Jim is a very opinionated prof, but in the arts you have to be. Your personal experiences, beliefes and ideas all determine your artistic approach. As far as being too opionated to teach, there is no such thing in the college level. At Rio the students have it lucky. Jim nor Kevin are overly difficult on anyone. true Jim may bore your socks off at times and it may be a pain to find a man, but he is very understanding if you take the time. If you think he is unforgiving true profs from other colleges.

Too opinionated to teach at college level. Especially when it comes to anything art.Can't prove his grading methods, just whatever he thinks you deserve.
