Comment:

He barely knows what he's talking about and when asked a question, searches for the answer on google. He's also always talking about his family and hardly ever the material needed to be taught for tests and quizzes. His study guides are always the opposite of what he's testing. Don't take his class, complete waste of time. Worst teacher ever.

Really wanted to like this guy because he has a chill dude vibe, but man was I wrong. Be ready to teach yourself from the textbook and some of the lecture slides. Wasted the first half of the semester doing nothing, then crammed the last few chapters into two weeks. Such a shame. Tricky multiple choice and sometimes complex short answer questions.

I took part of this course before I realized my counselor was incorrect in telling me I needed to take this. Professor Thorson is great at explaining complex chemistry and I found him hilarious. I would definitely take him again if he taught a class I needed.

There were 4 exams and as long as you take notes and read from the book you should have no Problem getting higher than a C. His exams are a little tough and tricky... but what exam isn't. Go to class and participate. There is lab- don't blow off lab and ask for a study guide before exams.

As long as you attend class & labs, take some notes, and review those notes before tests, you'll be fine. He covers everything in class so you should attend - this way, you don't have to read the textbook thoroughly. He's easy going and willing to help so your grade is really reflective of how much you put into it. Ask questions if confused.

definitely doesnt teach any BIO. multiple choice questions on tests are ok, but written questions are ridiculously hard...it's very difficult to get an A. hes very rude and sarcastic as well...

BAD PROFESSOR EVER!!! he does not know how teach, you basically have to read the book and teach yourself, he likes to sit and drink his coffee like no other, tests are unfair and hard, on lab days barely helps and just sits, never hands back tests, ahhhh! i would have rather had a professor that had an accent! take any other professor except him!!
