Comment:

The class I took was called Hamilton: Then and Now. I thought it would be about the play, it barely was. Besides that, she assigned so much reading and class discussions aren't interesting because she had her opinions and didn't seem to want to listen to anyone else. She changes her volume constantly and it's not fun first thing in the morning.

A lot of reading. She's very intelligent but class time was spent mostly listening to her talk about things I felt somewhat irrelevant to the class.

Comment:

She has a good sense of humor and gives good feedback; however, she talked about herself way too much for my liking. Around 35 pages of reading or more for each class. Seminar discussions are meant to be student led; I always find her doing most of the talking. Overall, she is an alright professor. Not spectacular.

Comment:

Professor Wyett is definitely an undervalued professor at this university. I have taken her as a first and second semester freshman in regular and honors english classes, and have been able to maintain an A average in both. Students generally find issues with her social views, which are liberal, however she focuses on an important aspect of lit.

Dr. Wyett is definitely a tough professor. The class itself was enjoyable for me, good discussions and intelligent conversations about books that were easy reads. Over the course of the semester I really felt like my writing improved based on her teaching.

Very intelligent woman, but very snotty and rude. Often talks about herself and not open to other's opinions. In class, she would often interrupt students to in interject her own theories. Was shocked at how often she belittled student's opinions and how critical she was of answers in front ot other students. Assigned reading very enjoyable.

I took Lit and Moral for her class last year, listen to what people are saying on here. I have a 3.5 gpa and i got a c in the class. Ironically I got 77's on my midterm, final, and two papers. She IS a feminist and is very unwilling to listen to the ideas of others

Very partial to feminist perspectives... Likes to say "I would argue"; talks about herself and her doctorate a's often as is possible. Her class didn't have too much reading though, and she is fair in her grading scale. Definitely one if the hottest faculty women on campus!!

Don't Do it, 5 minutes late is an absence. Miss two classes you fail the class. She treats students like children. Very tough grader, very passionate with her interpretation, not sure she wanted to hear anyone else's. She doesnt seem to be very nice at all.

I took Dr. Wyett for Lit and Moral Imagination this past fall and I will admit that the class is difficult but not impossible. Dr. Wyett really makes you think outside the box and work to earn your grade. I got a B in the class and worked pretty hard for it but just do all the assigned readings and go to class and you will do fine. Great professor.

Dr. Wyett is one of my favorite profs at Xavier. If you like classes that make connections to others, her classes always have themes of gender and thought processes that are emphasized and re-emphasized across subjects. Yes, she's a hard grader and a bit conceited, but her discussion style classes are great and you actually learn.

you all clearly did not have an open mind to the subject her topic would not be my first choice but the books she picks are interesting and will make u want to discuss them as far as only hearing her point of view that is so not true she is very open minded and understanding. As far as she only wants u to spit back what she says, not so. On tests u r supposed to show you learned WHAT WAS TAUGHT IN CLASS. Would u be mad if a bio teacher took off pts bc ur answer differed from hers? No. The place to express ur opinion is in the papers. If u argue your point well she will grade you well. Very hard grader. I liked the class itself well enough, but she's overly picky for the tests and papers. In the 50 minute classes, you don't really have enough time for the tests. The quizzes are easy and the reading's not too bad, but she's not easy on the grading.

This teacher straight sucks. She is a feminist and hates guys, she is not easy to talk to and her tests are hard, I was thinking about dropping the class because I did not like her at all...horrible teacher
