Dr. Sekul is an amazing professor! he really knows his stuff. He is liberal but he wants everyones opinion. very lecture heavy but they are extremely detailed. has 4 exams and a final. 40 questions. he has a big research paper due in the middle of the semester and it honestly is so easy. He loves to talk and will show you the news b4 class begins.

if you do not read the textbook you will not pass. Lectures and textbook is very important write everything he says like a story. He is an amazing teacher and will work with you, but he doesn't not believe in extra credit so study. Study a little but of everything in the book, and mind tap is very useful.

He is a good speaker, gives you all of the details you need for notes and welcomes opinions on current topics, I wished he didn't kept your total grade hidden on canvas all semester tho

Prof. Sekul is very lecture heavy, highly recommend taking good notes to review for tests. His class includes 4 exams, a 5-page essay, a book to read and get tested on, and online lectures on the weekend. Reading the textbook isn't required to pass the tests but study hard with whatever study method is best for you!

I love Dr. Sekul! His class only consisted of 4 multiple choice exams, an essay, and a final exam. What I loved most about the class was that it was not a lot of homework to do. He also made the exams very simple. I used quizlet to help me study for his exams.

Dr. Sekul is a great professor. He know his stuff. The class consists of 4 Multiple Choice Exams, one paper and a cumulative final exam. Listen and study his lectures and study the key terms in the book and you will do fine. His paper is not hard as long as you put effort into it. He states exactly the criteria needed to make an A on the paper.

Comment:

Online: 4 easy multiple choice tests and 1 multiple choice final based on tests. Tests based off his lectures and chapter vocabulary and maybe one question from MindTap. There is one paper due mid-semester, but he doesn't grade hard and clearly states what he wants. Sekul is extremely accessible through email. PRO TIP: go to office hours.

ONLINE: 4 mult choice tests & 1 mult choice final all @ testing center. Listen to lectures for each module. No grades in Mindtap, but it includes online book/reviews. Cheaper to just get Mindtap. Also, Mindtap has some info he goes over as a review. Review his lectures, study vocab/key points- you'll pass tests no problem. 1 research paper.

Took him for Summer I, and it is a lot of studying in his class. 4 test and 1 final. All lectures are online, no pp slide printouts, write 20+ pages of notes and study off of your own notes and lectures. He will let you look over previous test if you meet with him during conference. Will not show you what you missed after test has been taken.

Just took Prof. Sekul for TX Govt online. Pretty interesting course. There are readinv assignments and online lectures that covers the reading material. The exams are based on both, mostly the lectures though. You have plenty of time between each exam to complete the assignments. One essay due mid semester, pretty easy topic. Enjoyed the class

I enjoyed Mr. Sekul. I took him for two gov.'s early on before they changed. I thought he really cared about us, worried we were over worked. It was a tough class but very enjoyable. Not so tough that it's miserable, but a good tough you feel good about putting work into.

His class is really easy and simple as long as you study your lecture notes! He's really cool! The test are exactly like the lectures plus some vocabulary assigned from chapters in the text book. All in all a really good teacher.

Sekul does not provide his lecture slides, so you must either listen very well or write down every word on the long slides. His research paper was easy, but his test are HARD. 50% test questions come come from the text book. So you have to read all 4-5 chapters plus 20 pages of notes to study for each test. I do not suggest this professor.

Sekul is a great instructor. His grading criteria is simple: 4 tests, a paper, & a final. If you read & listen to the lectures, you will pass! Lectures are long but informative & his love of the subject really shows. Paper is easy & if you put effort into it, he will give you a good grade. Get ready to read though! Overall a great instructor!

Comment:

Professor Sekul's class is a purely lecture class. You write one essay and it is simple and he grades pretty easy on it as long as you put a little time and effort into it. Although you may think you do not have to read the book, you need to. Every tests includes about 10 questions from the book and the rest are straight from lecture.
