Incredibly nice and easy to talk to, but holds pretty high standards. Learned more in this class than many others I've taken. He is pretty soft spoken so sit up front.

I thought his section was really interesting but his tests are crazy. Almost all of the questions asked "all of the above, none of the above, only a and c." Like who does that??? Other than that I can say I know all about plants and fungi.

For Intro Bio 2, Dr. Horner teaches plants and evolution. If you want an A on his test, reading the textbook is a must. Overall, he is a sweet and quiet man, try to sit near the front of class or hearing him might be hard.

The only graduate level class equivalent to ecology. Interesting, some concepts were difficult to understand. 2/3 of course is lecture, 1/3 is student presentations

Sweetest professor ever. He's very willing to help, but don't be fooled because his tests are tough - really tough. Overall though he's an awesome man, but tough with the course.

Dr. Horner has got to be the nicest, most soft-spoken professors at TCU. His exam is pretty rough if you are not invested heavily in the concepts of evolution, fungi, and plants; even then, many of his questions are not straightforward and can be confusing- so study HARD. Nonetheless, he keeps it alive in class and is incredibly easy to talk to.

Great teacher! Made class interesting. Intro Bio 2 is a lot easier in the second semester but you still have to study a whole lot to get a good grade!

Out of everything in second semester intro bio, I thought Dr. Horner's section was the easiest - he covers the basic concepts of evolution, fungi, and plants. He also had a review session before his test. He's a very nice professor and his lectures are understandable.

Tests are confusing, lots of "some of the above, all of the above, none of the above" choices. Record the lectures because you won't be able to pay attention to him for an hour and a half. Nice guy though, pretty funny.

His voice is like a lullaby...so I would recommend recording the lectures in case you doze off like I did a little every day. By now, you're used to Bio and know how to study, and Horner is probably one of the easiest of the rotating professors. He makes hilariously nerdy jokes, enjoy.

Easy class if you study the lecture slides to where the infi on them is pretty much memorized. Very helpful prof. and he didn't draw any questions from the book for the exams, only the stuff discussed in lecture. Nice guy, highly recommend taking him.

He is a really nice guy. Tests are tough if you don't memorize the material. There is a lot to memorize but biology is very broad in general. Most of the material came from the powerpoint lectures. Text helped clarify anything I didn't understand in class. 3 tests and the lab make up your grade. Have fun with the fetal pig...lol.

He is somewhat boring, very soothing voice, hard to stay awake during class. Dont email him just go to his office and he'll help. You have to study to make a good grade, some people just to put too much effort in it and drop it. Weed out course..
