Dont take this class if youre looking for an easy A. You get 60 mins for a 50 question exam . The material on th exam isnt easy at ALL. There are only like 5 assignments in the whole class. The professor is a nice guy but I do not recommend this class to anyone . Especially if this class is not in your major class

Comment:

Took his online course. He's an excellent instructor who's willing to go the extra mile to help you. Great communicator when you have questions or concerns. Very clear on the syllabus and when assignments are due. His assignments are fun and interesting. His lectures are kind of boring but pay attention to them and you shouldn't have a problem.

Comment:

This class was super easy, but coming from having no interest in film, it was boring! There are a lot of long lectures to watch, and you have to watch them to do well. If you watch them and take notes though, you should have no problem getting an A. Professor MacKerron was very helpful with any questions, and he always responded quickly to emails.

He's ok. I like that his lectures are posted online but they're from 2010. He's kinda out of touch with technology in general. He doesn't even use word documents for submitting papers. Unfair grader on the fact that we only have 3 major grades so its hard to keep your grade up.

Comment:

This was an online class that was very easy. Total grade consisted of a TV week or career in EMF paper, 4 one page abstracts of brief articles, a midterm, and a final. Very easy class. Not necessary to use outside sources or APA when writing the TV week paper. Also, he's an easy grader and the tests have study guides and are easy too.

I took this online as a gen ed, with no interest in film. The course was well organized and easy to follow. All lectures are videos of him posted and easy to understand. Tests are given a review sheet. A couple 1 page easy assignments. I would take him again, even if it's just a gen ed credit. Didn't even buy text. Dont need.

MacKerron is a nice guy and a good teacher. Lectures are taught through powerpoints and easy to follow. Although some of the material can be a bit dry, he did his best to make it interesting. You do not need the textbook. I never opened mine. Overall good class; I have no complaints. My advice: take good notes. Test comes staight from notes.

Awesome teacher. I wanted to take another class with him, but it didn't fit into my schedule. He is really nice and so helpful. This class requires a lot of studying and note taking. It's not an easy A course. You really have to know the material. Mackerron does a good job teaching it. I learned a lot. Definitely recommend taking him.

Oh my..lecturres from set of notes, has probably been doing this for years..I enjoyed the course but can understand where others would find it boring. Skip the book, sign up for the online version and save yourself the trip to campus.

MacKerron is AMAZING! he's really funny, into his work and tries to make it as relateable for us as possible. He makes a lot of notes but theyre helpful& whatever you miss he has a online lecture with guided powerpoint! All you need to do is show up, do a few minor papers & study for the 3 exams & your golden

I had him last year and attendance was not mandatory so he might have changed that. The tests were hard, you will have to study a lot, the material is incredibly boring, but he is super nice and will most likey let you take the final with any of his sections. He also curves exams! I suggests you take him. PS Do not buy the book! You don't need it!!

I COULD NOT STAY AWAKE. Attendance is mandatory and he takes it every single class. He knows his subject matter well and the class was not too hard, just pointless. The test are very specific and I had to memorize a lot of dates, radio frequencies, and things no normal person needs to know. He curves the tests a decent amount though.

This guy is beyond boring and doesn't require attendance. He posts his power points online. There is like 130 people in the class and all he does is take. Tests are stupid, 4 easy one page papers, and he curves but don't take it lightly or you'll screw yourself.

He's a decent teacher. Speaks in a monotones, makes semi-lame jokes. However, his lectures are really easy to follow. Even though attendance isn't mandatory, I'd go to class. He gives extra credit for missing less then four classes. Exams are 50 multiple choice. All the questions come from the power points - DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! NOT NEEDED!!!!!!!!!

This professor is incredibly boring. Take this class with someone else if it is possible. No study guide, multiple point questions from long powerpoints, and some questions are not even from the powerpoints. He puts some trick questions on the exam, and he is not too helpful. Class is not extremely hard, but it is harder than a gen-ed should be.
