Nice teacher! For technology, do your work and you will do fine, but you need to have some experience before you come to class. He is not going to teach step, by step. Brass class lacks a book or notes to take home. It would help to study for the written test. Keep good notes!!!

Despite what most people say on here, he is a good guy. If you take the time out to be a good student, you will do fine. I got a low D on my first test, and still managed to bring my grade up to a B. Go to class, go to concerts, study. Do the things a good student should do and you will be fine.

I had him for online music. It's an easy class because I knew people who had taken it the previous semester and got an A. He does not reply to emails and likes to switch the voucher concerts up without notification. He thinks he is hard.

Dr. Metcalf is very big on technology, he tries to incorporate it a lot in his class. If you keep up on the work, he'll help you out and go the extra mile, but if you procrastinate, he'll show no mercy. He teaches you to be STUDENT... how it should be.
