Comment:

Best professor by far! Professor Stiller genuinely cares about all his students. If you go to his office hours he explains everything in many ways till you understand. Fast paced class, but he gives partial credit on all his tests. You have to work hard in this class, but he makes biology so enjoyable. Pre quizzes each week to prepare you for class

By far the best professor I have had at ECU. He is passionate and funny. He does everything to make you pass this course if you try. The tests were graded very leniently and if you showed that you tried he gives you some form of points. The homework is due before class so that it can be discussed in class which helped a lot. Curves grade if you try

Stiller is the best. Test heavy but his tests are free response and off of the exact worksheets in class. Holds review sessions right before the test and gives you hints on what is on the test. Very lenient on test grading. Go to office hours and participate in class and he will see your effort and bump you. even made final optional

Comment:

Great guy that wants his students to do well. This class is challenging, and tests are not multiple choice. If you pay attention in class and go to the test reviews you will do well. You gotta put in the work. Didn't read the book once. Take the quizzes seriously as getting good grades on those are what separated me from a B+ and an A-.

Comment:

He is the best professor for BIO1100. His tests are short answer and he give A LOT of partial credit. His office hours are very helpful. He is patient, and he cares about everyone's grades. This class is half lecture and half group work which is helpful for learning the material. This is hard material, but he makes it easier and more fun.

He is the best professor you can get for bio 1100 at ecu hands down. He is extremely knowledgeable and cares about his students if you care about his class. His tests are just like the group assignments that he gives in class and he does review sessions before the tests. If you go to the sessions and review the assignments you should get an A.

Overall, not a bad professor. The class can be challenging but passable. Lots of group work and the TAs are helpful as well. From what Ive heard from peers, he is the best Biology 1100 professor compared to the professors. Go to class!

I took his class because many people said he was good. When I started his class, I was freaking out and though it was the most hard class ever. Every single day there is an assignment that you have to do with your group. If your group sucks, you won't know how to do anything. He gives a lot of credit on exams.

Dr. Stiller is an amazing professor! Since biology is a tedious subject already, the material may be difficult to comprehend; be sure to read the textbook and pay attention to his lectures. You will have weekly quizzes and in class group worksheets, which is how attendance is taken. Be sure to go to his office hours!

Dr. Stiller is amazing! He is a funny man who challenges you to think. He makes the lectures interesting and interactive. Very easy hw/quizes. Study for the exams. Biology is a hard course already, but he really tries and is good at helping you understand the material.

Dr. Stiller is probably the best instructor that I have had in education so far. While the material can be difficult at times, he tries to make himself available outside of class as much as possible and works really hard to make sure you do well.

Professor Stiller knows what he is teaching, but you have to pay attention and take notes during his lectures. Reading the textbook and doing the online quiz each week is important. You work in groups each class on a worksheet which is really helpful, and also how attendance is taken. Tests are hard, but if you study consistently you will do okay.

Dr. Stiller is a great professor but it definitely takes a LOT of effort to do well in his class. His lectures can be a bit hard to follow, you definitely have to pay attention in class and reading the textbook helps too. His tests are pretty difficult (not multiple choice) but he tries to give as much credit to you as he can. He keeps class fun.

I chose Mr. Stiller based on the review that i saw on rate my professor. But tbh he wasnt all that great . Almost everyone in my class was very confused during his lectures. It's MANDATORY you go to class because of all of his in class assignments which are like everyday. He does give lots of partial credit on test but i wouldnt take him again

Dr. Stiller was a great teacher! He taught really fast in class, but go to his office hours! Powerpoints will be hard to understand if you don't take notes! He doesn't write a lot on the ppts.

Dr. Stiller was a great professor! He was very energetic and excited during his lectures, which made class pretty interesting. His class is very hands on so if you skip class, chances are you will miss an in class activity that would help you on the exams.

Comment:

He teaches this course for Biology majors specifically and I loved it. Really makes you realize why you chose to be a Bio major and the science behind it. I had taken AP Bio in high school and hated it, and did not pass the exam. Dr. Stiller makes this class crystal clear and teaches it in a problem based which makes you dig deeper.

Dr. Stiller is a great professor. His class is very interactive with group discussions and activities. He offers study sessions the night before every test including the final. If you don't go to class you most likely will not pass.
