Jolene is absolutely the best journalism instructor at El Camino, hands down, and I've dealt with all four instructors at one time or another. She's tough, but fair about it at the same time. As long as you pay attention, study your style, and do the work, you're golden in that class, both J1 and J3.

Mrs. Combs is a wonderful lady and teacher. Her charm brings a simle or a laugh to many students who maybe having a bad day. If you don't take her for J1 you are missing out. She is on hell of a lady, but she will get on you about your AP Stlye.

Jolene Combs is, far and away, one of the best professors teaching anywhere these days. She knows her subject backwards and forth, is patient with her students and is there to help. You will not regret it if you take your first J-classes from her.
