I was having trouble with one of the assignments and since it was an online class, my only option was to continually email him about it, to which he IGNORED my emails while still emailing the class and giving homework. The content and rest of the class was good and easy, just a VERY frustrating professor.

After multiple assignments, none were graded! Extra credit wasnt accepted at the end. Even though he says you dont have to show up, you do, while he sits there for an hour after riding through the book.

Instructor clearly has prejudices towards particular students, he claims to "hate everyone equally" yet will continuously pick on the minority students. He gets a sick smirk and laugh when he calls out a student for doing a step incorrectly, regardless of their experience level. Many students dread asking a question because he usually says restart.

I have had bad experiences with Mr. Velez. If you have the option I would suggest taking the class with a different professor. When you ask him a question he is rude and doesn't even answer your question. His instructions are vague. He doesn't respond to emails in a timely manner.

Professor Velez was a good teacher and I enjoyed his lectures. He does have a lot of homework and sometimes the assignments are unclear for what is due for the week, but I did learn a lot from his class. I learned a lot about different types of files. I would take his class again.

Comment:

Professor Velez is a good instructor. Although he has massive amounts of homework, I learned the most in his class. His lectures are fair and if you need help... just ask. He is a little disorganized for assignments that are due weekly, but just clarify with him. Other than that he is an awesome teacher and will prepare you for your future career.

He is a good instructor but can get impatient and gets off topic. As long as you show up to class and follow along, you'll do great. It takes awhile to get through assignments because he likes to talk a lot but if you follow along it is an easy A.

He is a strict grader, he assigns way to many assignments, the class is virtually a study hall where he talks about "big brother" , and how its the reason he has to be so strict w/ attendance. Even if you finish all the assignment ahead of time and your are done with every assignment, you have now a mandatory study hall to attend. TERRIBLE

If you really want to learn the software, take the class with another instructor. He only teaches from the book and will not help at all. Ask a question and he will condescend you to compensate for his ignorance.

Don't take his online class!!! I have to repeat it now in person, it was just too much. He doesn't respond very well either. I emailed him twice on a Tuesday about the homework that was due Sunday and he never responded!! Also, I was only able to do half an assignment once, the whole thing was worth 30 points and for half the work I got 3 points!

This instructor is rude, he cares more about the file size than what you are turning. He is very aggressive in the way that he responds to questions. He only comments in constructive ways on the discussion posts written by males. He tells you to read the syllabus however it is very unorganized and due dates are incorrect on everything.

Since this is an online class the language barrier is pretty high. If you need a lot of visual explanations, verbal assurance, and want to be able to approach your professor with ease and get good clarity when you ask a question I recommend you do not take this class with this professor.

Worst teacher ever! never responds to email or discussion board posts. You can tell he is angry at life. He is rude and completely not helpful. CNM should seriously consider removing him. It is obvious he is not teacher material. I will be contacting the dean. No one should have to go through this. If he hates teaching so much he shouldn't!

He uses an aggressive method of teaching, he makes mistakes in grading assignments, He misspelled the answers in a couple of quizzes . I had to cc the dean to get a reply in the email, he is deceitful. Knowledge in Photoshop or gaming is needed to keep up with him , he will not print instructions for the projects. anguished, left in tears.

One of the worst professors I've ever had. Do NOT take class with this professor. He will lower grades from 100% to 0% for no reason and does not check his email EVER. I waited 16 days for an email back regarding a an assignment and the class ended with no future email back. His English is unclear and he doesn't care.

I have had this teacher before for two online classes and that was a terrible experience so I really wasn't looking forward to having him in class. Boy was I wrong. He is was actually funny and nice. He is helpfully but hold your questions until he finishes his lecture. This was a really fun class to take. I learned a lot from it.

Worst online class I have ever taken. He was more concerned with file size than the actual assignment. He was not clear in regards to due dates or expectations. On top of all that he was rude, snarky, and left all questions up to fellow classmates to answer. I can't believe I paid for this calss!!!!1
