I absolutely love her. One of the best professors. I enjoyed my Sunday class with her. Very knowledgeable, caring, responsive. I wish she would teach other subjects.

LOVE HER!!! Hands down the best professor I have ever had. Her 3 hour class on sunday mornings went by so fast. She always had the class laughing, she is so laid back, told stories to help us understand the material better. We never had homework besides take home tests, gave extra cred and tests were easy. If i could write more I would. Amazing!!

I love this professors. She cleary enjoys what she teaches! She made Sundays enjoyable for me I felt like she was my personal therapist. She uses a lot of her expierences so you can understand the material better. She's not hard at all she gives 5 exams and drops the lowest grade. She also gives a lot of extra credit. Read your textbook!

I never rate professors but she is was of the best prof I've ever had. I took her for a summer session at 8am. But she made the class so enjoyable that it didn't even feel so early. She's so funny, tells amazing stories and cares about her students and helps you as much as possible. She gives 4 easy true and false test and extra credit questions.

Definitely recommend taking this professor if you have the option. She is very willing to help as long as you show up to class and do your part. She gives extra credit and i believe she drops the lowest quiz grade. Doesnt give a lot of homework which is nice. Just take good notes in class and you will do fine on the tests. She is a fantastic professor. Took her 216 course over the summer and am so glad I did. For our class she gave 5 tests (all 50 truefalse questions + 10 bonus questions) and then the final (same format). Out of those 6 grades, she dropped the lowest 2 and averaged the other 4 to get our final grade. She has lots of stories and is very knowledgeable

Lecture keeps you interested throughout total class. Took this class during a Summer Session and it was very straight forward with no papers to write to add to stress of Summer being one big cram session. Tests are straight forward and directly from her notes. Searching for additional classes of hers now..A+

This woman is lovely. Not only does she prove that her time is invested in the students by making sure she gives you her cell number but she also gives us an extra hour to ask her any questions before an exam. She makes us all laugh and feel comfortable and she was the best professor I ever had.

Comment:

Kowlalik was by far one of my favorite professors at Nassau. She gives us her first hand experiences to better analyze the topic of which we were learning about. She is so kind, selfless, and funny. The first day of class you'll see why. Never thought I'd ever enjoy a summer class as much as I did in hers. Thank you so much, Karen!

Don't listen to the comments saying she's a horrible teacher or an unfair grader. Not only do they sound illiterate but they are completely false! She is very thorough and fair when it comes to grading. The work can be hard a times, but she makes it worth your while. Great personality, great teacher. Put in the effort and you will get an A!

She's amazing! So nice and funny. Gives make up exams though attendance is important to her. She makes this 3 hour class so fun and the stories she shares really help you to understand the material better. She's so pretty and looks like she is loosing weight. I'd love to even hangout with her she's so funny!

Really funny and helpful prof. I agree with others, she really makes a 3 hour class bearable. She is very sweet and teaches well. She really made me enjoy psychology. I will most likely take another course with her. Highly recommended!

I love this professor. She is so nice and easy to understand. She knows everything well and will answer any questions one may have. LOVED HER!!! She's a great teacher, really knows what shes talking about and shes so enthusiastic and makes her classes interesting. Drops 2 grades and gives take home tests. My whole class loved her, would love to take her again!
