Katie is a good professor. Even though I took her class online, the material was very clear, organized, and interesting to learn. The class is challenging with lots of quizzes, discussions, papers, and exams. However, she allows you to do study guide to get perfect score on the quiz. Come to her office hours, they are helpful.

Comment:

Prof. Katie is one of the best teachers I have ever had. She challenged me, inspired me, and made herself available to all of her students when we had any questions. I was so surprised by how challenging this online course was as I had never taken an online course before. I am now going to graduate school for psychology. I highly recommend her.

Comment:

Super laid back and very open minded! She gives very clear instructions and gives out a syllabus containing all the information. Online quiz every week, 3 essays, 3 exams, and the final is optional. Don't bother buying the study guide book you're gonna waste your money. She's super nice with extra credit and drops the lowest 2 quiz grades.

My online experience, great teacher, clear on what she wants. The book is expensive. Do the study guides and do all your work ahead of time because it is a lot of work! But it's an interesting class and you will learn something from it, she'll make sure of it! it is a lot of work but I was taking 5 classes and passed so its not impossible.

I took her online Psych class because I needed it for a prereq, not because I was interested. She is very structured and tells you exactly what she wants and expects from you as a student, and she replies very quickly to emails. I would recommend her as a professor for this class to anyone who asked.

I LOVE HER! You definitely have to earn your grades by reading the book, but in all honesty, psychology shouldn't be a drag. It's interesting. She makes lectures fun. She's funny and very passionate about the subject. Highly recommended if you don't mind all that extra work!

Not a difficult class but tons of work. I spent twice as much time for this class than I did for my Bio 102 class. But overall I learned a lot and enjoyed all the materials that she put together. If you are looking to do nothing and get an A, then this is not the teacher for you. If you want to learn, then I highly recommend her.

OH DEAR, KATE SHOULD TAKE A CHILL PILL PLS. THOSE LONG VIDEOS AND HAVING TO REPLY TO FOUR POSTS PER DISCUSSIONS WHERE HIGHLY UNNECESSARY. THE STUDY GUIDE WAS JUST A WASTE OF TIME. I TOOK IT DURING SUMMER AND OH BOY! TOO MUCH INFORMATION. BUT SHE IS VERY ORGANIZED AND PASSIONATE. SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT AND REPLIES HER EMAIL PROMPTLY.

Too much unnecessary busy work. Class is easy but she way controlling in how she wants you to study or pass. She thinks her method works because she makes you retake the quiz until you pass, you're basically guessing until you pass. I've taken an online psych before and did not have to do all this nonsense work and still passed with an A.

Katie by far is my favorite teacher since attending Palomar. If you pay attention in her class and do the work, you'll pass her class. I love her method of teaching and she's so helpful in many ways. Loved her class. Highly recommended.

I took Katie's online class. Boy was online a lot to handle at first but Katie was VERY good with instructions and extra credit. I learned A LOT and she is an amazing prof. I HIGHLY recommend her for psychology. She used lots of youtube videos and had creative options for assignments. It's quite a bit of work but shes an awesome teacher.

Katie is a great, enthusiastic teacher! She makes a 3-hour long class go by fast and keeps our attention the entire time. I was originally in her online class (had taken several before), but due to the large amount of reading and videos to watch, joined the in-person class. MUCH easier than online. Exams are a bit hard, but extra credit helped.

She's amazing!! I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. She is so passionate about her work and it just makes it that much easier to learn it. Gives multiple extra credit opportunities and she lets you know what is expected of you as a student. Definitely recommend taking her, you won't regret it.

I LOVED THIS CLASS. I am surprised she received a low "easiness" score. She structures the class so that you have multiple opportunities to receive extra credit. She posts a lot of announcements and is tech savvy, she uses power points and is nice, and tries to help you learn. you earn your grade! It's not hard to take online quizes(open book/note)

I took her online class and it was such an interesting class. I like the subject a lot and if you follow the work you will be find. If you read the chapters and do the study guides you will pass with flying colors. Don't procrastinate or fall behind! Very helpful, emailed me back with in 24 hours.
